Job Profile Summary
This role is part of the GoM Reservoir Development Performance Team which is currently leading a cross functional project to address the overall skin threat in GoM. Skin is not a new threat for the region but has become more prevalent with increased depletion. Approximately 50% of wells in GoM have been impaired by high skin. The GoM Skin Project was created to address the growing threat and increasing deferrals. Historic efforts to address the issue were focused on a single problem and did not address the complexity and interdependencies of the issue. The project is structured with 6 themes Subsurface, Completions, Drilling, Production Operations, Remediation, and Knowledge Management. There are over 100 distinct tasks to be delivered in 2019. This short term assignment focuses on delivering the majority of the tasks within the subsurface theme.
Review all wells in the GoM portfolio for declining productivity index over time. Use this information to prioritize wells for a more detailed review.
Improve well models in Saphir for the high/medium priority wells
Evaluate well for intervention opportunity. Calculate the benefit and document in the Production Hopper
Conduct engagement sessions with the area team to share lessons learned from the model reviews
Ensure all historic PTA data is populated and consistently recorded in the Palantir database
Create a dashboard to understand and improve the health of the PTA models across the region.
At least five years of reservoir engineering experience
Extensive experience with Pressure Transient Analysis
Highly proficient with the Kappa Saphir & Server software.
In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate would benefit from having:
Proficient with the PETEX toolkit
New well start-ups and interventions
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams including Reservoir Development, Exploration, Wells, and Central functions.

Proven ability to manage demanding workload without impacting deadlines.
Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
