Job Description:

The Golf Shop Clerk is responsible for providing courteous and professional service to all members and guests while working as part of the Golf Operations team. The Golf Shop Clerk's duties include but are not limited to:

  • Following opening and closing procedures.

  • Timely and efficient registration of members and guests in the Golf Shop.

  • Ensure all names are recorded on the tee sheet.

  • Answering telephone calls and directing or responding to all inquiries in a professional manner.

  • Ensure effective communication of member and guest needs to Crew Chief.

  • Assist with the coordination of all member events, corporate events and any other relevant functions.

  • Supporting Assistant Professionals in the daily tracking of inventory and pricing of goods.

  • Daily maintenance and cleanliness of the Golf Shop.

  • Ensure all demo and rental clubs are accounted for before and after use.

  • Understanding of the Golf Shop Merchandising Program.

  • Understanding reciprocal privileges for member play.

  • Understanding policy and procedure as provided

  • Be conscious of daily events and activities and their timing.

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the Golf Shop.

  • Communicate all issues and relevant information and reporting it to the Assistant Professionals and DoG/HP.

Job Dimensions:

The Golf Shop Clerk cannot make policy decisions or authorize any commitments other than those authorized by the DoG/HP.

Do not make any unnecessary comments over the radio airwaves.

Responsibilities include prospect research, pipeline maintenance, presentation preparation, and other activities essential to effectively managing the sales process. The target market is ultra-high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments, and non-profit organizations. Major Duties: 1. Prepare and customize materials for sales meetings and presentations.. 2. Works with Wealth Strategists to maintain active prospect files and reminders to initiate calls for proper follow up. 3. Coordinates the process for new account documentation. 4. Makes necessary travel arrangements for the wealth strategists and processes related expense reports on a timely basis. 5. Enters and manages prospect information in the enterprise relationship management system to maintain an accurate pipeline for the wealth strategists and monthly sales projections for sales management. 6. Researches prospects through various external sources in preparation for sales calls and presentations. 7. Manages correspondence and reports for the Wealth Strategists, focused on proactive outreach initiatives. 8. Submits account documents to the legal area and external attorneys to obtain missing information, correct documents, clarify information, and resolve problem situations. 9. Performs special projects (i.e. coordinating reports, preparing account analysis and workflow reports) that require responding to specific account inquiries and issues. 10. Communicates with partner areas on all aspects of a client relationship and initiates activity which fulfills a partner's or client's needs. Qualifications: Business degree and/or equivalent work/education experience. Candidates should have 3 years or more of related client/sales servicing work experience. Knowledge of personal wealth management market and related products and services. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are necessary.
