Golf Service Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the Golf Operations team, the Golf Service Attendant will be responsible for performing daily activities at either bag drop (Mystic Rock and Shepherd's Rock). Outside service plays a critical role in the success of the overall golf experience in the eyes of our guests. You will create the first and last impression of the golf operation. The bag drop, staging area, practice areas and the surrounding grounds must be maintained at the optimal level and standards of cleanliness. This includes meeting or exceeding our established standards for associate satisfaction, guest satisfaction (Five Star, Five Diamond service), sales, and financial performance. As a Golf Service Assistant, you must always act professional, adhere to the resort's standard operating procedures, and perform superior guest services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pulling and staging carts neatly every morning.

• Cleaning carts thoroughly throughout the day and keeping the cart barn free of clutter and garbage.

• Restocking golf carts with two towels, six tees, a scorecard, and a pencil.

• Ensuring each cart is plugged in to a charger that is operable. Two beeps will signify the golf cart is receiving a charge.

• Communicate with the Golf Operations Leader or Manager about any issues including carts, guest complaints, or supplies needed for daily operations.

• Obtains daily tee sheets from the Golf Shop for each golf course to ensure every golf bag is loaded on a cart pre-arrival of their tee times.

• Maintains knowledge of available merchandise in the Golf Shop, course conditions, rates, hours of operations for golf, as well as other outlets throughout the resort.

• Communicates constantly with the Golf Shop as to what groups have arrived, what tee times have not arrived, and if the first tee is open.

• Working knowledge of the sport of golf; general terminology.

• Learning and adapting course knowledge with guests and members.

• Greeting each member or guest upon arrival. Offering assistance to guide the way to the Golf Shop or to the driving range.

• Assists with tournament operations as needed.

• Communicates with golf operations and turfgrass staff professionally and using hand-held two-way radios as needed.

• Communicates effectively with all departments throughout the resort.

• Other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Some college experience preferred.

• Ability to be culturally sensitive and effective in a multi-cultural setting.

• Ability to work weekends/holidays, days or nights with flexible hours.

• Driver's license.

• Ability to speak professionally to guests, around guests and likewise with all departments at the resort.

• Ability to speak English fluently.

• Must be able to work a variety of shifts - including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as previous experience in a golf setting.
