Help oversee the day to day operations of the Golf Grill kitchen under the direction of the Grill Supervisors as a working lead. Help oversee the preparation of food and inventory levels of the kitchen. Will perform a variety of tasks and will lead/direct the work of others. Wide degree of creativity, reliability and self-motivation are expected.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Promote a clean, safe and healthy work environment at all times for employees and guests.
Supervision of staff to include performance coaching/counseling and employee orientation.
Consults with the supervisor on improvements and changes.
Assists in the training of staff and monitors their handling and preparations of food, ensuring consistency of recipe, production and presentation. Identifies areas needing improvement and develops strategies that can be implemented.
Participates in F & B management meetings when assigned.
Comply with employee handbook, departmental policy and procedures, and safety codes.
Performs regular duties of kitchen staff as needed including: food preparation, food service, restocking, cleaning equipment, trash disposal, putting away freight, etc.
Must be able to operate and train others on kitchen equipment.
May be assigned to cover shifts in the role of acting manager as needed. Is expected to recommend and institute appropriate change to remedy management or customer concerns depending on the situation. Meet with guests to remedy guest service issues, provide corrective action as needed for employees.
Prepares purchase orders for director's approval.
Covers cooks shifts and schedule gaps as needed. Is competent in all areas of the kitchen.
Shall maintain a calm demeanor in times of high volume and special events.
Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
