SBM Management is searching for GMP Technician! The GMP Technician will be responsible for working within GMP guidelines to keep assigned facilities, such as office, commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition. The ideal candidate will work successfully with fellow employees and others.


  • Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)

  • Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)

  • Waste removal (empty trash/recycle bins, transport trash to proper disposal areas)

  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures

  • Complete daily FN logs

  • Act as area fill-in for staff shortages


  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is required

  • Previous floor care experience is preferred

  • A pre-employment background screening and drug test will be required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $11.15 per hour.

About the Job: As Maintenance Technician at Indiana State Museum, you will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment, machinery, buildings and grounds of the Indiana State Museum. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: * Performs and makes routine carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs * Installing furniture components, doors, wiring and conduits, plumbing fixtures and other varied items * Make repairs at heights using various lift equipment * Make repairs to and finish drywall * Assists other maintenance repair personnel and building custodians on major projects * Assists with setup and tear down for special events * Repairs locks and assisting with security needs throughout the Museum system The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate in this role should minimally have a high school diploma or HSE (High School Equivalency) and at least two (2) years of experience. What You'll Need For Success: * Working knowledge of HVAC and ability to use skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs * Ability to make repairs to and finish drywall * Ability to determine malfunctions of electrical and mechanical equipment and make repairs * Ability to read and understand blueprints and various drawings * Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools * Ability to read and follow instructions and to handle simple mathematical problems * Ability to work with at heights with a ladder or lift equipment, training provided Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
