Job Description
The job comprises working at various GM sites and Continental office.
Main Tasks:
Customer communication as a front-line person
Provide Technical support for onsite vehicle/bench tests
Perform vehicle/bench troubleshooting
Reworking of parts directly at GM site or Continental
Logistical and administrative tasks to keep the GM systems operational
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with the definition of system/hardware requirements
Resolve issues on assigned component and technical specification
Initiate change requests and orders in the GM specific tools
Update vehicles with latest production intent components
Support packaging and release of parts into the GM system
Additional Responsibilities:
Determine and investigate design alternatives comprising HW, SW and mechanics
Assist in trouble shooting system issues
Determine root cause and solutions to problems
Participate in design reviews
Perform vehicle sign-offs and interface with build facility as required
Core Capabilities:
Resident engineer shall be proficient in English
Excellent written and oral communication skills - must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information so that a remote team can initiate the work.
Excellent interpersonal skills - must be a team player in an international team.
Excellent organizational skills - must be able to manage several tasks efficiently and in the same time frame
Willingness and ambition to work under pressure, meet time schedules and never the less maintain a high level of output

Resident Engineer is required to be on-site at the customer location as deemed by the customer, at a minimum of 3 days a week.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.S.E.E.) or related field
Ability to be mobile (travel to various customer locations)
Automotive Resident Experience
2+ years of relevant work experience
Good knowledge and understanding of automotive electronic systems and analyzing technical problems
Utilize computer, oscilloscope and various application-specific automotive and engineering test equipment
Resident Engineer is required to be on-site at the customer location as deemed by the customer, at a minimum of 3 days a week.
