DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Support Region VP in managing region KPIs in coordination with GM of Operations and GM of Sales.
Manage Region ROIC (ROA and ROWC). Optimize ROA with Operations and ROWC with Sales to achieve target ROIC for the region.
Manage working capital/cash needs in the region
Optimize profitability vs. ROIC
2.Advise and develop region's Supply Chain Management team
Implement methods for efficient communication to build best practices and processes
Develop the team's understanding of optimal supply chains.
Develop the team's understanding of the impact of inventory levels aligned to working capital and ROIC
3.Actively updating Optimal Supply Chain based on needs and performance
Analyzing Mill Sources and their respective lead-times, buy commitments, and key contacts
Analyzing Outside Processors and their respective lead-times and key contacts
Analyzing our Plants internal specific lead-times by value stream
4.Oversee Inventory communication across Steel Technologies Team
Implement open communication with Operations to optimize plant schedule
Collaborate with Corporate Purchasing team to ensure demand forecasts are completed proactively
Collaborate with sales team and suppliers to keep an updated record of lead-times
Effectively explain impact on inventory levels measured in days, dollars, and tons.
Oversee forecast and inventory review meetings
5.Maintain overall knowledge of the business
Manages excess of inventory to avoid unneeded mill buys
Communicate and collaborate with both Inside Sales and Outside Sales to manage inventory and customer forecasts
Understanding of business at the region's plants in relation to ROIC
Creates strong communication channels to ensure that our Business Planning team makes the best-informed decision on inventory management.
6.Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3 -7 years' automotive and commercial supply chain experience. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of commercial and automotive supply chain market trends
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of management
Ability to travel frequently
Management/Supervisory experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people.
Occasionally, work will be performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. The temperature of the facility will vary based on the outside weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance may be required as deemed necessary by management.
