PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:
Responsible for managing and implementing short and long term business strategies and tactics to effectively support commercialization, market expansion, and business plan objectives for Glucerna. Additional responsibilities include strategy development, marketing/business plan development, communication strategy and execution, financial management, project management, and AP&G (Advertising, Promotions & Gratis) budget administration.
Create and implement marketing strategies, programs and initiatives to drive Glucerna sales and share
Own product positioning and competitive selling / communication strategies with Healthcare Professionals.
Develop national strategic plan and execute tactics to effectively position, communicate and promote the product.
Define product branding and messaging. Manage the development of marketing and promotional materials for Field Sales to effectively promote and sell.
Collaborate with Finance to set market share/revenue targets and Supply Chain to manage demand forecasting and inventory.
Lead project teams focused on execution of program initiatives. Key stakeholders include health care professionals and patients, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Public Affairs, Executive Management, and external vendors/agencies
Collaborate with Marketing Research to coordinate market evaluation testing and data analysis
Administer AP&G budget.
ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
Accountable for developing and executing strategic and tactical objectives associated with driving product sales including P&L. Actions and decisions will directly impact attainment of product line financial goals and objectives.
4+ years of progressively responsible Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing, or consumer packaged goods marketing.
A strong grasp of core marketing concepts and successful track record of their application, including equity development, branding and market research assessment.
Demonstrated leadership competencies.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the proven ability to influence leadership in strategy and investment decisions.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.
Strong analytical skills including business and financial management.
Health care professional marketing or sales experience preferred.
