Husqvarna's Global Trainee Program is a global leadership development program designed for new / recent graduates who have less than 3 years of working experience but with ambition to eventually move into senior leadership roles within the company. Trainees are permanently employed by Husqvarna from the beginning and will participate in a 2-year rotating (6-month) assignment plan that is focused on a targeted position upon graduation from the program. The program also includes 1-week training modules between assignment rotations which are hosted at our corporate hubs in Sweden, U.S., Germany and China.

The U.S. will be hiring (1) Trainee position in the Consumer Brand Division's R&D Electric & Electrical Systems team. The targeted position upon completion of the program is a Design Engineer located in Charlotte, NC.

Job Requirements

Successful applicants will meet the following qualification requirements:

  • Recent college graduate with less than 3 years of professional experience

  • Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; additional computer science coursework preferred with GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Previous international experience or education is preferred

  • Unrestricted right to work in the U.S. now and in the future

  • Highly flexible and mobile. During the Trainee program, this role may require multiple international assignments in Sweden/Germany for extended time (up to 6-9 months).

  • Mechanical aptitude with relevant hands on experience (mechanical and/or electrical)

  • Demonstrated leadership experience (in school, as a volunteer, on the job)

  • Strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated curiosity

  • Competitive nature

  • Resourceful / creative in achieving goals

  • Ability to effectively communicate and explain ideas to others

  • Strong initiative with a demonstrated ability to work independently and be a self-starter

The Sr. Global Product Manager- Powered Chain Hoists will be responsible for owning and managing the global Powered Chain Hoist product portfolio and associated revenue for all markets and geographies. Key Accountabilities: * Be the owner and advocate for your products when it comes to cost, features, quality and lead time * Actively manage and shape the Powered Chain Hoist products portfolio globally to drive increased market share and revenue * Lead Voice of Customer process globally to understand customer needs / market needs for product improvements and new products * Specify requirements for new products (features, cost, etc.) and initiate development activities. Launch new products, incorporating appropriate marketing communication, advertising, promotional and training activities. * Gain a deep understanding of competitive products: communicate how to sell against the competitive units and covert sales to CMCO * Articulate the features and benefits of our products and work with MARCOM team to develop material to relay this information to our sales team, channel partners and end users * Establish and maintain appropriate pricing relationships (list prices) between products and product lines based on market value and positioning * Position products in support of overall brand strategy * Analyze margins and drive appropriate actions to improve as required (cost reduction in manufacturing, alternative sourcing, etc.) * Coordinate product related communications between functions such as sales, customer service, pricing/quotations, engineering, manufacturing and finance * Assist in developing sales strategies that drives revenue of your products * Systematically prune old/obsolete products, incorporating activities to minimize excess/obsolete inventory and maximize conversion to newer products. * Standardization across the portfolio – configurations, components, ordering method etc. * Other duties as assigned Competencies: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
