As the Global Supply Network Planning Manager, you will:
Be responsible for network planning, managing and delivering accurate worldwide demand and replenishment forecasts, service levels and inventory for all value streams sourced out of the assigned Region / Manufacturing Site.
Lead parts of the Sales and Operations Planning Process to drive business decisions for various value streams within the Ethicon Business Units.
Provide leadership and guidance on the demand and supply planning processes that drive cost-effective stock availability, identify drivers of key performance metrics and action plans to meet / exceed business targets, and work in close collaboration with commercial, demand, supply and finance partners to ensure aligned business decisions are driven and appropriately communicated throughout the organization.
Manage the global service levels to customers and drives the inventories to entitlement levels. This includes achieving On Time in Full (OTIF) at allocation and backorder targets and driving continuous improvements in this area.
Lead Supply and Demand focused end-to-end Planning meetings for the Value Streams assigned.
Consolidate the World-Wide (WW) demand plan and hand it over to the supply planning organization (internal or external) to ensure correct future supply.
Maintain and develop tools to analyze and review possible misalignments between New Product Introductions (NPI), Demand, and Capacity with relevant teams to address and close gaps.
Identify gaps between latest financial and demand plan, and drive plans to resolve major differences.
Identify and raise major supply issues to senior management that result from demand or supply variation, recommend and coordinate the global allocation process working with WW Marketing and regions plan leads.
Collaborate across regions and business units to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
Ensure activities performed are complaint with the Ethicon Quality System and that associates follow all company guidelines and policies.
Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration. Master's degree, Process Excellence certification or APICS certification is preferred.
At least eight (8) years of experience in Operations, Planning / Materials Management, Logistics, Inventory Control or Sourcing / Procurement is required.
Experience in supply planning is preferred.
Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.
Understanding of end to end supply chain interactions / interdependencies and strong strategic vision on planning processes and inventory management are preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge of ERP system is required; knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Advanced Planning System (APS) are preferred.
Strong analytical, financial, communication, presentation and leadership skills are required.
Proven ability to influence / collaborate at all levels in the organization is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required; intermediate skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup) is required. Project Planning and Flowchart tools are preferred.
Proficiency in English is required, oral and written; Spanish is preferred.
This position requires up to thirty percent (30%) of domestic and international travel.
