This is a leadership opportunity within Information Technology (IT), with primary focus in Supply Chain strategic planning. This talented team supports strategic planning and execution systems powering Micron's multi-billion-dollar semiconductor supply chain. The qualified candidate will lead our internal consulting team of IT specialists tasked with leveraging technology and process innovations to improve Micron's end-to-end supply chain. This team is on the front line, tackling the latest business challenges, framing solution options and ultimately partnering with Global Supply Chain business teams for implementation and realization. In this leadership-by-example position, you will be expected to get into the details with your team, prioritize a portfolio of work activities, while working closely with senior management to help define the broader strategy. The ideal candidate will have the vision to translate business need into system capability and provide leadership through solution delivery.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME), consultant and thought leader within Supply Chain IT on S&OP capabilities and operations

  • Inform on planning best practices within platforms: SAP APO, Kinaxis Rapid Response, Statistical Forecasting/Modeling

  • Provide expert architectural, functional and process guidance on approach and capabilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Planning leadership to understand capability and to improve the overall efficiency of planning teams

  • Manage a team of highly experienced Supply Chain Business Analysts and Software Engineers supporting strategic functions

  • Deliver large scale, high-value projects within an established delivery methodology

  • Work within cross-functional teams (Agile, Operations areas, IT, PMO) to drive successful deployments

  • Define, manage and execute a multi-year supply chain capabilities roadmap

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in IT or Supply Chain program/project leadership

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in leadership of large-scale capability deployments supporting critical business processes

  • Experience with planning in a semiconductor manufacturing environment (preferred)

  • Experience building strong rapport with customer groups

  • Experience in collaborating with team members to drive results

  • Ability to facilitate and drive decisions and clarification

  • Apply discretion and confidentiality to manage sensitive and complex issues

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

Desired Qualifications (preferred but not required):

  • 5+ years' experience SAP APO, Kinaxis Rapid Response, or equivalent systems experience

  • Experience in semiconductor or related high-tech industry

  • APICS certification

Education:

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology (BIS, MIS), Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or industry-related curriculum

  • Graduate studies a plus

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Responsible for analyzing and maintaining Supply Chain planning models and working on supply chain modeling improvement projects. Regularly exchanges technical information with colleagues and managers. Responsible for Supply Chain modeling/planning, including: Support for Scenario Management: Determine impact to customer support, backend manufacturing and procurement. Support for daily planning processes: Provide justification for capital requests to all stakeholders; supports return on investment and net present value calculations. Support for Supply Chain Modeling: Maintain an accurate model through periodic audits on key parameters; analyze input and results data using statistical analysis tools; identify improvement opportunities; and drive engineers to close gap in performance. Support for Project Management: Support for project management by determining project need dates and output gains through modeling; collaborate with project managers to ensure project completion time supports capacity requirements. Minimum Qualifications: * An understanding of the Supply Chain planning strategies, modeling principles and business processes including postponement strategies. * Knowledge of Multi Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO). * Knowledge of how safety stock supports planning strategies and service levels. * Knowledge of impacts on on-time delivery and mitigation strategies. * Knowledge of linear programming and how to apply it to supply chain modeling. * Knowledge of Pareto Analysis techniques. * Knowledge of Deming Quality principles. * Knowledge of SPC charts and their applications. * Ability to work evenings and weekends, if necessary.
