Bayer is seeking a highly motivated, influential leader to join our dynamic team based in St. Louis, Missouri as a Global Supply Chain Program Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving medium- to large-sized cross functional programs in support of global Product Supply's transformation and strategic initiatives. They will partner with Business, IT, Finance, Change Management, HR and other stakeholders to lead program teams through the planning, execution and close out phases of given programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross-functional team to deliver high quality program results in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines

  • Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including requirements gathering, business case creation, and implementation

  • Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities

  • Create and maintain a consolidated program-level plan and review project management plans to ensure alignment to meet program timelines and objectives, including workstream interdependencies

  • Proactively set performance expectations and manage expectations of program deliverables and requirements, yielding consistent results

  • Lead program financial oversight and analysis

  • Manage program-level risks and interdependencies

  • Effectively communicate program status to audiences of all levels

  • Establish and maintain program level change and quality control processes

  • Maintain excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organization

  • Establish metrics that are true indicators of the program health

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor degree (or equivalent) and 10 years' experience in project/program/portfolio management

  • 10 years of business experience & 5 years of proven experience in a Program Manager role

  • Experience in managing complex projects across multiple disciplines and/or teams

  • Effectively lead and influence peers, key stakeholders and the broader organization

  • Ability to build networks and relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Must be an effective team player and proficiently work with globally diverse cross functional teams

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Results oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize

  • Ability to creatively solve problems and provide timely recommendations

  • Experience within PMI methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification preferred

  • PMI, Six Sigma, Lean Certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and methodologies

  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management
