Responsibilities

  • Identify, plan, direct, and implement regional supply planning strategies to ensure availability of finished goods to fulfill customer demand for all regions.

  • Ensure utilization of SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) S&OP (Sale and Operation Planning) or SAP ECC to create realistic supply plans to meet the demand plan; includes review of mid to long term rough-cut capacity planning.

  • Provide guidance in determining supply optimization including safety stock, safety time, lead times, threshold quantities, and minimum order quantities.

  • Determine strategies to optimize distribution center inventory.

  • Coordinate with Demand Planning, Materials Managers, Global Logistics & Transportation, Sales, Marketing, IT, and Order Administration to develop and refine supply planning practices and policies to meet best in class metrics.

  • Manage all Supply Planning activities across the region which includes supply planning, rough-cut capacity planning, supply optimization, and inventory management and analysis.

  • Drive continuous improvement to KPI metrics, including network Inventory, Delivery, Market Expected Lead Time, Stockouts, and Backorder.

  • Drive accountability of cross-functional teams within the supply planning process.

  • Partner with global SIOP team to ensure Supply Planning Team prepares for, leads monthly Supply Reviews, and escalates decisions made or decisions needed to Executive SIOP Reviews.

  • Serve as the supply planning liaison for all critical regional MSA change communications and initiatives from manufacturing sites / sales / marketing to key business leaders.

  • Build strong relationships with all functional areas to establish best in class supply planning at both the local and global level.

Qualifications

Special knowledge, skills and abilities (required):

  • Excellent customer focus, effective communication and executive presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities.

  • Broad knowledge of supply chain, operations, forecasting and global distribution modeling.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence attitudes and behavior as well as facilitate change.

  • Proven leadership ability to coach associates, manage functional teams while promoting teamwork, delegation, individual responsibility and positive employee morale.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Approximately 25% domestic/international travel may be required.

Education required:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline

Level I:

  • 5+ years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Operations, or related function

  • 2+ years of management/leadership experience

  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP

Level II:

  • 7+ years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Operations, or related function

  • 5+ years of management/leadership experience

  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP

Education and experience preferred:

  • APICS, IBF or ISM (Institute of Supply Management) certifications

  • Masters or MBA

Level I:

  • An in-depth understanding of sales, demand planning, and supply planning with exposure to and understanding of financial planning and the associated linkages.

  • Understanding of supply chain flexibility, how it can be increased or decreased, and the associated costs.

  • Leading a regional planning organization

  • Experience in Supply Chain planning software, including medium to long-term planning horizon.

Level II:

  • All above plus creating and implementing supply planning strategies, driving standard business and system processes, and instilling discipline.

  • Successfully demonstrated ability to influence key business process leaders through business transformation changes such as organization change, business process change, etc..
