The Global Supply Chain Inventory/Logistics Manager will monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build, lifecycle and repair activities. They will ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and make inventory movement/transfer decisions for various programs within Amazon. They will also evaluate potential restocking or purchasing requirements with the Procurement Manager to ensure our operational strategies are met. The Global Supply Chain Inventory/Logistics Manager will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high volume, fast paced warehouse or distribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverse logistics processes. The Global Supply Chain Inventory/Logistics Manager will frequently be involved in vendor relations and communications. Contributes to a work team environment and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Candidates must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable working with other Microsoft Office products.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of Inventory/Logistics Specialists

  • Recruit, retain, and develop a team capable of delivering high quality services

  • Develop and coach the various team members

  • As required, define and correct performance issues

  • Work with Planning and Supplier Engagement team to implement inventory stocking and restocking requirements

  • Mentor new and existing team members in best practices and the inventory cycle requirements

  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain management team

  • Work to ensure inventory is set for new product launches and work with appropriate cross functional teams to mitigate any issues

  • Develop KPI's with regards to material shortages and surplus, lead time, restocking points, and reconciliation differences (write-offs)

  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for planning and purchasing processes and systems

  • Prepare periodical reports as agreed with management

Can operate in a highly matrixed environment * Defines and balances foundational technology investments with business investments to ensure short term and long-term value is created * Ensures delivery of all engineering work defined in the portfolio * Shapes and owns the engineering and quality assurance organizations * Applies enterprise architecture and delivery practices into the portfolio Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or a similar discipline is strongly preferred or 5 years working in engineering leadership roles in lieu of a degree * 7+ years of progressively responsible information technology experience leading technology teams * Experience in managing a diverse and creative group of individuals and leading and influencing change * Experience with successfully managing large department budgets * Demonstrated passion for Merchandising and Supply Chain technologies with a great track record of creating and implementing strategic technology and business roadmaps * Demonstrated ability to build constructive business and IT relationships and gain the trust of others in a multi-vendor, cross functional environment * Proven ability to meet deadlines and operating under tight time constraints with a strong sense of urgency * Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, negotiation and presentational.
