As a Global Supply Category Leader, you will work with internal stakeholders and manage a grouping of Indirect supply categories including but not limited to: Packaging, MRO, Transportation, Contingent Labor, Marketing, Human Resources & Benefits, IT, Real Estate and Corporate Shared Services. In this role you'll develop both short and long term strategies within your assigned categories while building and establishing relationships with internal stakeholders and outside suppliers. You'll use your subject matter expertise to educate business partners and continuously improve key operational/cross-functional elements for all global sites and regions.   • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and negotiations simultaneously

  • React and process/understand new information quickly with high numeric & deductive reasoning

  • Ability to accept ambiguity and be driven to find solutions to solve problems

  • Utilize historical spend data from multiple sources, product/service agreements, company budget and other data to proactively identify a pipeline of sourcing opportunities, reducing total cost of ownership and improving vendor performance

  • Develop and drive global category strategies taking into account internal requirements and limitations as well as current and future external market conditions for the organizations global footprint

  • Actively participate in the development and management of the global supply total cost savings funnel

  • Capture and maintain Total Cost Models for specific categories, programs and initiatives. Understand the different factors and calculations determining the total cost and provide insight into model and improvements

  • Anticipate, acknowledge and mitigate Global Supply related issues related the assigned category group that may impact customers and business goals

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key organizational functional associates and stakeholders across multiple global regions

  • Support special and continuous improvement projects, as identified or requested, supplier pay term approvals, and other reporting tasks

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience

  • Excellent analytic skills

  • Quality communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Sourcing & contract negotiation experience

  • Must possess high drive and self-initiative to obtain results

  • MS Office, SAP or related ERP experience

  • Global manufacturing experience a plus

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships

  • Characterized by integrity and high professional standards

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, manage multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and deliver against company business goals and objectives

  • Demonstrated success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels

  • Confidence in role as an individual contributor and ability to lead through others

In this role, the Director, Global Broad Based Compensation will be responsible for design, implementation, and ongoing administration of Pentair's Broad-Based Compensation programs.
