The Global Sourcing Manager
This is a completely new role within a recently created global sourcing organization. The Global Sourcing Manager
The Global Sourcing Manager
Support and implement commodity strategies for assigned categories.
Network / Infrastructure, Hardware, Software, Telecom, IT consulting and services, Data Centers, etc.
Researching and understanding global and regional market trends
Developing and implementing appropriate sourcing strategies
Leading and facilitating cross-functional global teams through the application of the strategic sourcing process
Developing and executing request for quotations
Negotiating contracts to meet business requirements and ensuring compliance with legal standards
Managing supplier performance in order to meet all quality and delivery requirements
Deliver savings targets in terms of EBIT (i.e., year over year cost reduction) and cash (i.e., payment terms and inventories).
Identify new sources of supply that will result in cost savings and better overall product offering, including suppliers in low-cost countries.
Lead global, cross-functional teams to leverage buying power and best practices.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
SCOPE AND IMPACT
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering or related area. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of corporate IT procurement experience
Minimum of 7 years of overall procurement experience
Excellent negotiation, SRM, and contract management skills
Expertise in the application of strategic sourcing process and project management methodology
Purchasing certification, e.g. CPM or CPSM, preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong skills in financial management and analysis.
Travel required: Minimal
