Job Duties:

  • Perform operator duties in support of a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Global Security Operations Center.

  • Perform operator duties in support of the 24/7 Harris Global Security Operations Center

  • Monitor and operate security systems to include intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, along with environmental monitoring and fire alarm systems

  • Respond and initiate action related to intrusion detection alarms and access control alarms as required by government industrial security requirements, fire alarm systems, and environmental monitoring and alerting systems

  • Respond and initiate action related to, and coordinate emergency response with law enforcement, fire and medical emergency services during emergency situations

  • Notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal resources as necessary

  • Dispatch security guards for alarm response, calls for service and emergency situations

  • Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service, to include handling radio dispatch, phone, and email workstations

  • Manages information flow to and from incident

  • Monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and all communications devices; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure

  • Generate and track work orders, daily reports, and incident reports

  • Ensure the GSOC Manager and appropriate security management is apprised of all significant and unusual global events in real-time, and documentation is maintained

  • Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations focal point

  • Track global employee travel through implemented programs

  • Monitor international incidents through open source media and the Threat and Risk Intelligence System (TRIS)

  • Create accurate and timely incident reports, escalating to the appropriate persons as necessary

  • Liaise with personnel security contractors providing journey management support to Harris employees in high risk locations

  • Interface with Program Security Officers, Managers, guard force, facilities management, and other operations support functions

  • This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

  • This position requires shift work. Candidate must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays as necessary with possible overtime

  • Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years related experience

  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in security operations or similar operations center experience highly desirable

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to multi task, plan and organize

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Ability to research, investigate, compile information

  • Problem solving skills

  • Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, principles

  • Ability to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy

This person is an experienced professional who has expertise in managing people, process and technology in a control room environment, including: shift-based team leadership, strategic program oversight, effective communication (writing, speaking and presenting) and policy and procedure development, as well as project management. The Associate Manager acts as a liaison for most business disruptions and crisis incidents and supports leadership during the activation of escalated incidents. The Associate Manager monitors call volume, alarm response and security incident reports to ensure an appropriate level of service. When necessary, the Associate Manager will need to demonstrate the ability to monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, operate access control technology, and provide general assistance to both employees and visitors. The Associate Manager partners with site leadership and employees to support any operational issues and prepare for potential incidents. The Associate Manager will be matrixed to the International Security Program manager to assist with policy development, provide guidance to business unit International Security Officers, perform duties as the Corporate Headquarters International Security Officer and maintain a positive relationship with contracted international security providers. Job Duties: * Manage a team of GSOC Operators on multiple shifts supporting 24/7, 365 days a year operation * Oversee the daily operations of the GSOC. This includes, but is not limited to the following: ensuring the GSOC team is aware of the daily activities/schedule, addressing scheduling concerns/gaps, approving reports, and briefing leadership on incidents - potential or realized * Able to assess challenges, identify root causes, address opportunities and skills for resolving for all situations. * Conduct training and exercises as necessary for GSOC operators to improve on GSOC protocols, operator proficiency and readiness. * Demonstrated expertise developing guidance procedures, review processes and work flows to create efficiencies. * Completing performance appraisals, handling employee concerns and performance management. * Maintain various records of communications and events. * Work collaboratively with the GSOC and other Harris Security Operations Centers (SOC's) and the security leadership team to prepare for, respond to, and recovery from all incidents and crisis events that may impact Harris domestically and internationally. * Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information and intelligence about events that are occurring both domestically and internationally. * Communicate and disseminates information, using established communication vehicles. * Liaise, notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal resources as necessary. * Monitor email inboxes, assist in communicating events; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure. * Ensure senior security management is apprised of all significant and unusual global events in real-time, and documentation is maintained. * Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations focal point. * Track global employee travel through implemented programs. * Monitor international incidents through open source media and the Threat and Risk Intelligence System. * Liaise with personnel security contractors providing management support to Harris employees in high risk locations. * Interface with Program Security Officers, Managers, guard force, facilities management, and other operations support functions. * This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. * This position requires schedule flexibility.
