We are seeking a Global Security Manager to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Duncan, SC. After gaining knowledge of our environment, there is the opportunity for this position to work under our Hybrid schedule working both in the office and remotely.

The Global Security Manager is primarily responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the security processes and systems for AFL facilities across the globe. The scope includes evaluation, development, and implementation of operational policies and procedures. The position will ensure that the environment in the organization is safe for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Site Security Systems:

  • Develop and maintain expectations for physical assets such as site access, types and locations of cameras, image retention, access to restricted areas, communications and power redundancy, perimeter protection and visitor programs.

  • Provide guidance and support on systems to maintain expectations.

  • Implement and maintain multi-campus communication and notification system.

  • Violence in the Workplace / Active Shooter:

  • Develop and implement a full program consisting of training, onsite response resources, site evacuation and notification processes.

  • Remain current on country, state/province and city specific security, harassment and workplace violence requirements and ensure AFL is in compliance.

  • Remote Employee Security / Accessing Remote Worksites:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain expectations for safe access to work areas that are not under our control such as private dwellings and commercial and retail facilities.

  • Education programs for employee safety and security while working in remote worksites.

  • Set expectations and parameters for employees that work alone.

  • Crisis Management / Business Continuity

  • Assist with crisis management, pandemic planning, and other business continuity programs, maintenance, and implementation as required.

  • Responsible for conducting internal investigations as deemed appropriate by management.

  • Travel Duty of Care / Security, Weather Impact and Medical Support:

  • Leverage and provide guidance on current programs for both domestic and international travel.

  • Identify and educate travelers on risks associated with planned travel.

  • Support the travel department.

  • Vehicle Management:

  • Monitor and provide systems and support to ensure security of vehicles and contents.

  • Work with fleet team and different business units to ensure compliance with federal and local regulations and safe vehicle operation.

  • Security Issues of New Markets/Geographies:

  • Assess risk, gather intelligence, and develop plans as new geographies are considered and added to projects for employee safety and emergency support.

  • Property Loss and Risk Management:

  • Understand monitoring systems, as well as the needs for property protection, including what types of fire suppression is best for applications.

  • Consult with the insurance engineering team.

  • Coordinate training, inspection, and emergency management programs with facilities and EHS resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role required.

  • Law enforcement or military background preferred.

  • Certified Protection Professional, CPP

  • Experience implementing programs in a corporate environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Awareness and familiarity with Free Trade Zones.

  • Experience with unified security software platforms that incorporate visitor process, badging access levels and cameras.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to travel to AFL locations to support program implementation.
