Job Description:

The Business Strategy & Initiative Consultant participates in diverse administrative functions including project management, identifying strategic initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, and gathering documentation to support policy/procedures within Global Risk Management. They may coordinate with Senior Management in the development of activities that supports these functions.

The selected candidate will have responsibility to execute on a portfolio of projects that drive out identified operational & financial efficiencies across Global Risk Management. Consistency and accuracy in process execution is imperative to the success of this candidate. The candidate will participate in business / strategic planning to identify opportunities for improvement, as well as assist in the execution of prioritized key initiatives. The Business Strategy & Initiative Consultant will work closely with various GRM Teams to execute on a portfolio of projects that have been identified as a result of operational excellence activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7 10 years' experience within a Global Risk Management function: Global Compliance & Operational Risk, Enterprise Credit Risk, Global Markets Risk or Global Risk Analytics

  • Identification of Data accuracy issues via EDIM Ticket processes and SIAI's

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve data accuracy issues and close Audit Issues/ SIAI's

  • Test development and/or execution driving Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities

  • Demonstrated implementation of process improvement opportunities via error reduction, cycle time improvements, etc

  • ORCIT RCSA Module & PRC Module Systems expertise

  • Demonstrable examples of effective leadership and partnering skills with support partners

Enterprise Role Overview:

The Business Strategy & Initiative Specialist leads diverse administrative functions within Enterprise, LOB or ECF Compliance function. May consult with senior management to define and lead projects that encompass and impact many employees.

Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area. Assists with execution of key strategic initiatives. Participates in business/strategic planning process within Enterprise, LOB or ECF Compliance function. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures.

The Business Strategy and Initiatives Consultant leads diverse business operations/business control functions within Enterprise, LOB or ECF Compliance functions. Functions that are managed may include: financial oversight & integration, compliance process oversight, staffing process execution, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, SPOC control, workplace management and communication.

This role may consult with senior management to define and lead projects that encompass and impact many employees. The Business Strategy and Initiatives Consultant requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area. This role assists with execution of key strategic initiatives and participates in business/strategic planning process within Enterprise, LOB or ECF Compliance functions.

The Business Strategy and Initiatives Consultant has a working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures.

Management of the Global Compliance portfolio of SIM projects. Management of the budget (initiative and HILT) supporting the portfolio.

Working with the teams to identify new SIM ideas. Ability to perform analysis of people, process and technology impacts of potential SIM projects. Special project work.

Strong excel skills, financial analysis. Understanding of the Compliance Risk Management Program and key interdependencies on the impacts to other activities. Strong relationship management skills to be leveraged within Global Compliance and the GRM Enterprise SIM team. Ability to influence key contributors to meet deadlines.
