Assists and supports the organization in complying with, as well as the ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of conformance to, the requirements of government regulations and/or regulatory agencies. Performs evaluation of internal operations, controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation as related to regulatory compliance and recommends appropriate changes. Conducts and facilitates internal and external audits to identify, evaluate, disclose and appropriately remedy risks and deficiencies. Coordinates the preparation of and may prepare document packages for regulatory submissions from all areas of company as well as for internal and external audits and inspections. May serve as point of contact for interactions with regulatory agencies for defined matters.

The Global Regulatory and Compliance Specialist IVassists and supports the organization in complying with, as well as the ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of conformance to, the requirements of government regulations and/or regulatory agencies.   • Provide expertise and knowledge for the development, implementation, and management of trade compliance programs to include import/export compliance and licensing.

  • Administers programs, policies & procedures to ensure compliance with US government regulation including providing training to such requirements.

  • May have the authority to make decisions related to export/import activities and trade procedures, U.S. export/import laws, and regulations.

  • Develops and implements compliance procedures and processes to integrate export/import requirements into functional policies.

  • Conduct assessments, self-assessments and risk assessments.

  • Conduct audits, internal and external, including vendor and customer reviews and product transfer reviews to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Provides research, factual information, counsel, and guidance on legal questions or issues.

  • Counsels management on changes in laws and regulations that impact foreign trade.

  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced professionals.

  • Leads special projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned.

  • Liaison between Aviall's compliance department and external business partners needing compliance assistance.

  • Work internally with multiple departments to address customer needs and compliance challenges.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years experience

Preferred

  • Master's degree

  • Familiarity with multi-country import and export requirements in North America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and South America

  • Familiarity with multi-country classification, licensing, documentation, regulations, and valuation

We are looking for a Sr. Export Regulatory & Compliance Specialist IV to assist and support the organization in complying with the requirements of government regulations and/or regulatory agencies. This position is central to our export program. It is the point person that is on our front line for all export trade control inquiries. This position is also our face to the business. It is critical that this person is quick to engage with our internal and external customers and to leave them with a positive experience. Part of this position also requires someone who has patience and persistence in helping others understand the trade control requirements. This position at times may also serve as point of contact for interactions with regulatory agencies. Job Responsibilities: * Work with internal and external customers to answer their export questions. * Review SAP / GTS compliance systems for blocks and work with internal and external customers to resolve them. * Work with our warehouse personnel to address export and process questions. * Coordinate with integrated carriers and freight forwarders to ensure we have the most accurate shipment information. * Determine when exemptions and exceptions can be used. * Determine when Dept. of Commerce and Dept. of State licenses are required. * Experience filing AES and auditing. * Provide export compliance training to various departments within the company. * Develop and communicate export compliance metrics. * Coordinate with our import team to ensure seamless import and export transactions. * Leverage our trade data team to ensure all transactions have fully supported classifications and supporting documentation. * Hold process review meetings with internal departments. * Initiate process improvements and systems enhancements as identified. * Update documented procedures and command media. * Light travel as needed for training and auditing. * Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in International Business or other related field. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. * 6 years of experience in support of foreign army bases; aircraft industry experience;decentralized global supply chain controls; regulatory and trade controls. * Previous experience in preparing Dept of Commerce and Dept of State licenses. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree preferred. * Customs Broker license, CUSECO, International MBA, FAR 15 Knowledge, Warehousing and Distribution processes preferred. * Working knowledge of Adobe SAP, GTS, SNAP-R and EASE preferred. * Excel, Power Point, Access as well as other MS software.
