Under general direction and supervision from Vice President of Quality, provide management leadership for nVent's global Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Assurance programs. To organize, plan, implement, and control a Quality Management System (QMS) which will deliver best in class overall customer satisfaction, reduce overall Cost of Quality and achieve world class quality performance. Responsibility covers global sites (close to $2.2 Billion of total sales).

Key role responsibilities

  • Assists the Vice President of Quality in defining, developing and deploying long term strategies to achieve world class systems and best in Quality products and services

  • Own the Global ISO certification process for nVent. Develop, revise and update nVent's Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Quality Documentation Structure and Quality Systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001-2015 requirements and other Quality certificates (Ex: AS9100 and NCA-3800) .

  • Act as guardian, custodian and a promoter of Company's quality standards. Align Global Quality Objectives with executive leadership. Drive improvements within nVent's Quality systems.

  • Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) and work to align the Quality System to meet current business and customer needs while continuously evaluating its effectiveness. Measure Quality Systems performance against established industry standards. Develop and maintain a companywide audit process and schedule.

  • Provides leadership to achieve Global ISO 9001-2015 Certifications by Business Unit.

  • Champions and drives systemic Quality improvements & standardization across nVent's Integrate Supply Chain (ISC) by developing processes and procedures, including Quality training modules to cover all products, processes and services.

  • Drives systemic improvements across Quality KPI's through standardization and best practices utilizing product line quality leaders and quality tools as appropriate.

  • Leads the integration of nVent Quality Management System into the current and/or new ERP systems. Stay current with industry standards and work toward self-development through continued training and certification

  • Act as champion for the Company's Customer Complain System, Corrective/Preventive Action System (CA/PA), and Change Management (CM) processes.

  • Own the Quality SharePoint. Make sure information is updated frequently and available to the Quality team globally.

  • Develop quality Metrics/Dashboards. Champion changes in quality metrics, help introduce future metrics and dashboards, develop operational definitions to make it easy for the organization to report accurate and consistent metrics.

qualifications and experience

  • At least three recent years must have been spent in business-to-business industrial multi-site and/or plant based positions.

  • Experience in a high-level corporate quality leadership role is highly preferred. Proven track record in leading significant strategic initiatives in quality across multiple sites and/or divisions.

  • Extensive knowledge in building Quality Management Systems and creating/ maintaining Quality Control Manual and Divisional Procedures in compliance with ISO 9001.

  • Extensive experience with Automotive AIAG quality techniques: PPAP, APQP, Process Maps, FMEA, Control Plans, Process/Product Capability Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Action, Calibration & product quality improvement using tools such as six sigma.

  • Black or Green Belt Certification and/or Lean Manufacturing formal training required. Exceptional analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills. CQM or other applicable quality certifications preferred

  • Ability to work independently, as well as direct the work of others.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or other equivalent degree. Master Degree preferred.

  • 10 + year experience in manufacturing, quality/reliability engineering, quality assurance, quality systems, customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate activates across different sites. Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others. Ability to multi-task & handle tasks with competing priorities effectively

  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships at all levels both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, internal functions)

  • Ability to effectively run meetings and drive for results according to timelines given

  • Ability to work across cultural boundaries global acumen

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

VIEW JOBS 3/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-13T00:00 Position Summary The Global Process Transformation Owner is accountable for coordinating and influencing nVent's Segments and Functions to define, transform and maintain a suite of common global processes that improve value for our customers and shareholders. This role is accountable for processes in the area of [Lead to Quote, Order to Cash, Replenishment to Distribution, Requirement to Product, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Solution to Offering] and will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish a common and contemporary process blueprint for nVent. The successful candidate will need to operate and influence in an environment where business complexity, culture and change management are challenging. This role will report to nVent's VP of Analytics and Transformation. The position's main duties are to educate, design and gain consensus on new transformational process concepts, build coalitions to drive contemporary process improvements and ensure that incremental value is delivered and understood. The Global Process Owner will become SME's in contemporary and automated processes, understand best in class benchmarks and will use modern transformation techniques and the use of technology and analytics to drive value through process design and deployment. The GPO will also communicate and educate on best practices ensuring the Enterprise achieves and sustains business outcomes in a particular process area. This includes presenting a vision to the broader organization of the benefits and challenges of Transformational common processes, and identifying business performance and incentive metrics, to ensure continuous, sustained, organization-wide business operations improvement and valued business outcomes. This role will also be responsible for coordinating the identification and realization of benefits from our common process blueprint. Key Role Responsibilities * Become SME, evangelist and educator of best in class contemporary transformational processes and how to use technologies and analytics to enable them. Regularly benchmark industry innovations and implement appropriate advances into the transformation strategy. Promote and enable data driven decision making and high velocity and customer centric process designs * Work with Enterprise, Segment and Functional leadership teams to understand pain points related to delivering strategic objectives, define and measure trapped value and define key process changes to enable business value generated from those changes across our sites and businesses * Establish business cases for process and system changes and assess project priorities based on appropriate criteria * Recruit, engage, educate and excite Subject Matter Experts, Functional Implementation Leaders and Super Users from different parts of nVent's business Segments and Functions to contribute to and drive consensus around the global process blueprint * Work across functions to clarify requirements and support needed and to break down barriers and silos enabling effective transformation, ensuring trade-offs are understood, acknowledged and documented * Understand how technology, business applications, analytics, business data and other information assets support business processes under consideration for change * Partner with IT in the selection and use of relevant technology and data requirements to support the creation, maintenance, deployment, enhancement of common transformation processes and to ensure required process changes are framed as IT projects or enhancements, resourced and implemented in our systems per approved project charters * Ensure that proactive controls and measures/metrics are embedded in process designs, with the appropriate level of automation in place as part of the global design * Act as keepers and maintainers of the Global Blueprint, as the blueprint is deployed, refined and improved over time * Document and maintain a global blueprint and hierarchy of business scenarios, business processes, business sub-processes, in collaboration with other global process owners and Segment/Function process SMEs * Partner with IT, SMEs and other stakeholders to implement rigorous QA and testing processes to ensure changes to our global processes are properly implemented in our systems and that our business super users and functional implementation leaders understand the changes being made * Develop, document and deploy disaster recovery plans in collaboration with other Process Owner, SMEs and business stakeholders to ensure that business processes can get back online after a disaster or major outage * Inventory and manage the diversity of our current state processes across all sites, to understand opportunity for rationalization and total value to communize * Partner with the data governance leader to prioritize data standards and data maintenance needed to enable value creation, and establish master data rules that support the business process design * Participate in the design of and content development of a change & learning methodology to drive adoption of common processes, data and system in all sites for all stakeholders * Scope, plan and provide oversight for projects to drive adoption of common global processes across all of nVent's sites and businesses * Actively participate in Planning and Initiation phases of our deployment projects, to ensure that deployment projects are properly scoped, resourced and kicked off to drive the right process changes * Oversee data and change management efforts being executed by the Functional Implementation Leaders and Super Users through deployment projects Qualifications and Experience * A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
