Reporting to the Head of Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Acquisition, the Program Manager helps create, position and deliver the Enterprise D&I strategy in support of AXA XL business, globally. The Program Manager then partners with local HR and business leaders in bringing the enterprise strategy to life at the regional and local levels, ensuring relevance and appropriate support. Enterprise D&I Strategy Program Management. Program and project manage all enterprise D&I initiatives designed to attract, retain, develop and grow a diverse talent community, foster an inclusive culture and eliminate barriers to success.

  • Global Employee Resource Groups & Inclusion Committees. Coordinate and support all work associated with AXA XL's Employee Resource Groups (currently 13) and country-based Inclusion Committees (currently 2).

  • Lead Workforce Flexibility Program. Lead the ongoing evolution of our workforce flexibility initiative, ensuring that AXA XL is "going where the talent is" and enabling leaders to think outside standard work arrangements in an effort to recruit and retain strong talent.

  • D&I Community of Partners leadership. Drive a strategic and cohesive partnership model by leading regular meetings with key corporate stakeholder groups, in support of our Enterprise D&I Strategy (procurement, talent acquisition, marketing, corporate social responsibility, learning & development).

  • D&I HR Champions leadership. Lead a global community of HR Professionals who assist in the continued evolution, communication and roll-out of our D&I strategy and activities.

  • Creation and delivery of supporting programs. Partner with the Learning & Development team and other subject matter experts to select, design and deliver/distribute D&I education, programs and workshops, as needed.

  • Embed D&I into the fabric of our organization. Support leaders, HR Partners and other Centers of Excellence, ensuring that D&I is integrated into all areas of our business and talent strategy and operational plans.

  • Stakeholder engagement and management. Support the Head of D&I in managing critical external and internal relationships. Building cross border resources that enable sharing of practices and insights around the globe.

  • Partnership with other AXA business groups. Liaison and partner with D&I professionals across other AXA business groups, sharing best/next- practices and leveraging expertise and programs.

  • D&I branding and communications. Work with the marketing and communications department to create and coordinate D&I messaging and communications to build awareness and share results and business impact.

  • Strategic external partnerships. Partner with Marketing & Communications and others to identify strategic external partnerships, sponsorships and branding opportunities, in support of AXA XL's business and D&I objectives, with a focus on ROI.

  • Maintain external network. Build/maintain an external network with other professionals and thought leaders in the field and conduct ongoing research and gathering of market intelligence on best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Focus on talent acquisition and talent management strategy. Help develop and implement global diversity recruiting and talent management strategies to identify, recruit and develop strong diverse talent (includes taking unconscious bias out of all talent processes).

  • D&I thought leadership. Provide coaching and consultation to all relevant stakeholders on D&I

  • Represent AXA XL at internal and external events and meetings, as needed, and lead the completion of multiple external market surveys focused on benchmarking and establishing AXA XL as an employer of choice.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Strong D&I knowledge with at least seven years experience in developing and deploying diversity & inclusion programs that drive business strategy

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, especially with stakeholders who have competing priorities. Consultative approach, but has a point of view and can work with others to get the job done

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all levels without direct authority

  • Four year degree or equivalent from an accredited university

  • Significant program management experience with demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, develop and manage governance structure and budgets

  • At least three years of working with business leaders in a highly matrixed global organization

  • Experience with laws and regulations impacting diversity and inclusion efforts

  • Multi-cultural sensitivity in all areas of diversity and inclusion nationally and internationally

  • Ability to travel as required (projected about 10-20%)

  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and using data to build and support proposed business and project plans

  • Broad understanding of talent acquisition, assessment and development

  • Highly developed commercial sense and understanding of key business drivers

  • Willingness and flexibility to jump into the details and get the job done; bias for action

  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation

  • Innovative thinker who challenges the status quo and can handle highly complex situations with a positive attitude

  • Able to handle highly sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, tact and judgment
