Job Description:
The Global Product Manager will report to the Director, Product Marketing Manager and be based in our Denton, TX facility. As a Global Product Manager, you will be responsible for covering Heavy industrial Manual Plasma Cutting portfolio focused on driving existing product improvements, implementing new product introductions, and supporting the regions to increase sales of the product by visiting customers and demoing the products with the sales team - Working to increase the attachment rate with ESAB accessories and consumables across global regions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Portfolio Health and Vitality
Drive margin expansion, sales growth, and technical product advantages for share gain and demand expansion globally
Develop and maintain overall product plans for your portfolio in the Equipment Solutions Group EQS.
Review and analyze current performance, portfolio health, market needs, trends, and other data.
Lead and develop product roadmaps, lifecycle management of the portfolio, and create targets to improve the portfolio aligning with the overall roadmaps and budget allocation within EQS.
Lead product launches by developing promotional, digital, and social media campaigns supporting Marcom.

Market Intelligence
Conduct voice of customer (VOC) interviews with end users, distributors, and Regional Product Managers, Sales Teams, and Leaders to perform trend mapping
Analysis of incoming feature requests and customer needs translating data points to QFDs, CTQs, and associated business cases
Manage feature requests during the lifecycle of the product lines, creating margin on the cost to serve
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Groups
R&D / Engineering
Work with R&D project teams to define specifications including aspects of industrial design, functionality, cost, quality, packaging, documentation, and pricing. Ensure timeliness to launch from idea phase to release
Work with the development team to create product demos and product showcases helping to shape the content according to the customer and sector segmentation
Responsible for following the Colfax APD (Accelerated Product Development) stage gate process
Marcom & Regional Sales
Work with Marcom to plan and execute product launches, including technical documentation and promotional items
Work with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy to develop product pricing strategy for existing and new products
Sourcing, Supply Chain, Production
Work with supply chain and production to ensure product regional availability
Assist in regional forecasting and supply / demand planning
Participate and drive knowledge sharing across the company, including ideas gathered at relevant trade shows, external customer meetings, and benchmark exercises
Ability to work cross culturally within and outside of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, or business administration,
Minimum 2-years Product Management experience in welding or similar heavy industry
Displayed knowledge and creation of marketing and market entry strategies
Effective communication and executive presentation skills
Adept at conducting voice of customer (VOC) research
Working knowledge of business finance (e.g., product cost, price, transportation, tariffs)
Demonstrate ability to strategically think and analyze impacts of different scenarios on the existing products and their platforms
Working knowledge in the use of Lean/Six Sigma Processes
Background in industrial fabrication related to welding and cutting
Ability and willingness to travel globally at least 20% without visa restraints.
