Job Description

For the Indirects Global Procurement team in Amsterdam we are looking for a (3rd/4th year of study) Bachelor/Master student who is interested in an internship of 6-12 months which can include a graduation assignment.

The purpose of the role is to support and work with the global team responsible for the procurement of Indirects. Indirects Procurement includes sourcing of Marketing (premiums, displays, agencies, media), Travel, Staffing, Leases and Rentals, HR Services, Services, Consultancy, Technology, Capex, MRO, Facility Management and Energy.

The internship can be used to develop a problem statement for a thesis. Examples of problem statements from former interns:

What is the best procurement strategy and process for solar power installations in Kraft Heinz plants?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Kraft Heinz Zero Based Budgeting methods?

The key activities of the applicant are:

Assist Global Category Leads and Buyers in day to day issues at hand (Invoice resolution, supplier queries, Purchase Order approvals) A thorough spends analysis and data collection of the Indirect spend and supplier base. With the data gathering, the applicant will need to have a pro-active approach in reaching out to the various countries.

Based on the spend analyses a plan needs to be developed on how to approach the spend. Contracts need to be updated and maintained. Applicant will assist in securing that all current contracts are signed and stored correctly and termination clauses are clear.

Assist Global Category Leads and Buyers on current projects. This will involve assessing requirements, conducting industry analyses, drafting tender documents, and preparing and conducting negotiations,

Job requirements

  • Applicant should be in the final stage (3rd/4th year of study) of a Bachelors or Masters study in Economics/Business Administration

  • Interested in pursuing a career in Procurement/Purchasing

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical capability

  • A commercial mindset

  • Strong in verbal and written business English

  • Good computer skills (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)

  • Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks on own initiative

Period: 6 months

Salary for 4 days a week 500 per month, for 5 days a week 625 per month

Compensation for travel expenses

Job Description Global Procurement Finance Intern The Role Global Procurement Finance is working on a project to provide accurate inflation historical data, actuals and estimations based on a detailed model. The model is built by using cost breakdowns within existing categories and subcategories trying to track prices and indexes in order to calculate inflation. With this we can anticipate changes in costs, analyze current and past prices and be able to provide to the procurement department the ultimate financial visibility. We are looking for an ambitious, hands on, independent and engaged candidate. The project will grant the opportunity to learn from new situations, getting things done, solving problems creatively, interacting with the world of global procurement finance team, digging into numbers, consolidating and analyzing them. Main Responsibilities: * The candidate would be accountable for the success of the project roll out, adapting the existing model to the characteristics of each region KHC operates, connecting to procurement specialists to capture the drivers behind inflation, working on categories and subcategories across the purchase portfolio, with the goal of having an inflation model with a summary dashboard. * The candidate will support the monthly reporting and analysis to ensure that business owners get timely and accurate insights of the global inflation. * The candidate will maintain and update the global inflation tracker by using several financial data sources. Requirements: The role is based in Amsterdam Zuid. * Undergoing Master's degree, preferably in economics, econometrics, business or finance. * High level of numeric and analytical capability. * Advanced Excel skills. * Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
