JOB SUMMARY

This role is an essential member of the Global commercial team and responsible for positively impacting growth and the overall success of the business focused on the Portables and Side Entry Products. In addition, this position will have specific responsibility for coordinating, and managing the content of, regular meetings with the Americas sales channel.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Portable and Side Entry Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing the product line programs through the product life cycle for existing product and for associated New Product Development (NPD) by identifying and defining product program in response to changing market conditions.

Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating formal interaction with the sales channel vis regular rep council and rep meetings.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with R&D, sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and marketing opportunities.

  • Gather and analyze product performance, including financial, technical, and operational data to identify and quantify opportunities for growth, new product, and existing product improvement opportunities. Develop product lifecycle management roadmaps for new products and products already in the market.

  • Utilize market, customer, and competitor intelligence to identify and quantify opportunities for growth and margin expansion in new and emerging markets.

  • Leverage voice of customers & insights of key stakeholders to define product strategies and plans. Collaborate with global market managers to understand customer needs, latest industry trends and focus area.

  • Define value proposition / product differentiation that provides competitive advantage for the target product.

  • Develop, maintain, and gain approval for product line strategies and plans. Ensure the strategic alignment with key end market strategies.

  • Develop business cases and determine feasibility to achieve profitability targets in line with business strategy.

  • Support and develop and oversee plans for new product launch adopting appropriate tools and templates according to SPXFLOW stage gate documents, processes, and standards.

  • Manage product launches according to defined development stage gates, Developing marketing plans and materials. Presenting to customers and Channel partners virtually and in person.

  • Ensure that assigned OE product portfolio requirements are defined and that necessary support resources are available in time to deliver growth targets.

  • Work closely with AM Product Management to ensure that AM programs are aligned with and support the overall product strategy.

  • Work closely with Global Market Managers to obtain market intelligence.

  • Create and support the publication of all new Commercial policies in eSales and in the Sales Data Book.

  • Work with the Global Commercial Leads and the Market Managers to segment customers/markets and develop effective channel management strategies globally.

  • Work with Commercial Organization in establish annual growth objectives by region and product line.

  • Implement consistent market pricing and discount strategies that support growth and profitability targets.

  • Support Key Account programs.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications for the creation of marketing materials.

  • Conduct product training sessions for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate rep council communication.

  • Manage/oversee action items agreed with the rep council and broader rep organization to ensure timely completion.

  • Along with SPX Flow admin functional, coordinate the annual "rep swing" meetings.

  • Drive sales initiatives, campaigns and relationships beside channels and their key End-User targets.

  • Travel (including occasional international) up to 25% of the time.

METRICS & DELIVERABLES

  • Market Share: Track and compare market share gains against predefined targets.

  • Market Analytics: Monitor global orders, hit rate, margin, and pipeline developments.

  • Strategy & Planning: Working collaboratively with the Global Market Managers

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback and stakeholder insights.

  • Evaluate market, customer, and competitor data to pinpoint growth opportunities.

  • Articulate and establish a distinct value proposition and product differentiation.

  • Oversee the development and approval process for New Product Development (NPD) in line with product management goals.

  • Spearhead initiatives on the strategic roadmap to fulfill growth objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical capabilities driving product programs based on market dynamics.

  • Visionary - Customer & market focused, future oriented leader with relevant experience developing & leading growth strategies using third-party channel partners within an industrial equipment organization.

  • Strong engineering knowledge and advanced knowledge of mixer products and mixing processes to provide technical solutions to customers.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

  • Experience handling sales of higher complexity.

  • Experience setting and negotiating terms with a high level of authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with third-party partners.

  • 5+ years relevant experience.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.

Anticipated salary range for this position: $108,700/yr to $151,240/yr. The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual salary for this position will depend on relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
