Position Overview
Autodesk's Safety & Security Department is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive programs to protect Autodesk's worldwide facilities, personnel, and intellectual property, as well as ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations related to environmental, health, safety, and security.
Autodesk is looking for experienced Manager for its Global Physical Security Program. Program responsibilities include oversight of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), a 24/7 monitoring and incident response coordination center. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated security professional with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced high-tech environment. The Global Physical Security Manager will coordinate the day-to-day monitoring of the access control/intrusion detection and CCTV systems, incident response logistics, and vendor staffing and performance requirements in our global offices. The Global Physical Security Manager will also act as a point-of-contact for matters relating to office physical security and will work closely with our global Workplace Operations management/staff.
Responsibilities
Manages vendor-provided guard force (number of contracted personnel: 10+)
Provides leadership to the Global Security Operations Center which operates as a highly functional 24/7 information fusion and response center
Provides timely and accurate information on emerging threats, risks, and life safety and security incidents to the EHS/Security Director and Business Units, so informed decisions can be made to protect company personnel, assets, reputation and business operations
Provides continual research and recommendations into defined and scalable safety and security processes and technologies
Establishes and monitors performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of the Global Physical Security Program and GSOC
Assists with the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and best practices to maintain/enhance GSOC situational awareness, incident response, notification of appropriate personnel, and incident response documentation
Responsible for access control alarms, video surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and dispatching resources to investigate any anomalous alarms and activity with security personnel and other departments as appropriate
Prioritizes and processes incoming security reports and requests and track all associated shift activity accordingly
Ensures global situational awareness of natural and man-made events that may impact our assets/facilities, employees, special events, and travelers
Where warranted, conducts an assessment and accounting of our employees, assets, and facilities in emergency situations
Coordinates incident response logistics, provides direction and response instructions to security officers, and disseminates timely mass notifications and situational reports, when appropriate
Performs additional duties as assigned by Safety and Security management
Ensures thorough and current understanding of Global Security Operations Center responsibilities, applicable Autodesk policies/procedures, security officer operations and all applicable Safety and Security department initiatives
Provides briefings to internal and external audiences on GSOC crisis management responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Two to five years of experience managing a government or corporate GSOC operation
A minimum of five - ten years of progressive experience the security industry, ideally demonstrating subject matter expertise for technical, physical and electronic security systems and guard force operations
Subject matter expertise and functional understanding of current and emerging security industry standards, technologies, and systems (access control, video surveillance, etc.)
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, guests, and executive leadership
Ability to assess and effectively escalate situations for proper resolution
Strong attention to detail
Effective prioritization of tasks and responsibilities
Perform continuous follow-up on pending, open projects and tasks until completion
Work well in a fast paced and multi-tasking, team focused environment
Learn, retain and apply security related concepts, information and processes
Ability to read and interpret documents used in a building designs, including, but not limited to: safety rules, standard operating procedures, operating and maintenance documents, security designs and procedure manuals
Demonstrated ability to manage a utilize security management tools such as NC4, ISOS Travel Tracker or equivalent
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience utilizing mass communication and incident management platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Ability and willingness to be on call 24/7 to respond to company-related security emergencies
Ability to train/manage a contracted guard force and demonstrate effective communications skills/interaction with corporate staff
Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required
If prior military, must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
Professional certifications (e.g. PSP/CPP)
