Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Contribute to identifying and developing partners for significant leadership roles globally. As part of the global partner key talent center of excellence (CoE), you'll work across PwC and drive leadership development:

  • Drive annual Partner talent management cycle;

  • Contribute to development program design and lead activities with a global coordination need;

  • Execute related communications integrated with overall CoE; and,

  • Manage relevant partner information, profiles and matches to roles.

Skills:

Demonstrates a proven record of success managing complex and sensitive projects and information, skilled at attention to detail and interactions with senior level leaders, and skilled and motivated to range of topics from strategy work through actual programme execution.

Demonstrated impact in the following areas:

  • Project management skills, ideally in complex and multi-workstream situations;

  • Ability to work in global teams, understanding diverse perspectives, and respectfully navigating very different contexts;

  • Exceptional oral & written communication skills;

  • Ability to swiftly build and maintain trusted relationships across functions, geographies, cultures, and senioritis;

  • Super user of PowerPoint and Excel;

  • Skilled in practical story-lining and deck writing to "client ready" standard;

  • Ability to consult, collaborate, team, and influence without direct authority across functional and territory teams and within the COE; and,

  • Skilled in teamwork and team support a high priority.

Demonstrated impact in the following areas:

  • Understanding of our businesses evidenced by the ability to connect with client facing leaders in the talent and succession context with an understanding of their business agenda and needs;

  • Being effective as an internal service provider in an environment where client service/satisfaction is paramount - this can be evidenced by experience in a related 'business partnership' type role either in previous client service, Human Capital, Sales & Marketing, Industry Programmes, etc. where regular interface with senior stakeholders is a routine element of the role;

  • Having some exposure/experience in talent management/succession planning/performance/impact or a related area such as Human Capital strategy;

  • Performing resource gathering and research, proven as being trustworthy, and a track record of working with highly sensitive information; and,

  • Showing diligence skills including data analytics, handling of information, dealing with incomplete information.

JOB DUTIES: * Manage and deliver formal learning programs for mid-level leadership development and deliver and measure additional alternative learning solutions to all mid-level leaders throughout the Enterprise. * Develop, execute, measure and continuously improve Caterpillar's mid-level leadership development strategy and solutions by working closely with a variety of partners including but not limited to HR Senior Leadership, Shared Services Learning and key business leaders throughout the Enterprise. * Seek out and share trends related to leadership development, serving as a voice of expertise within the external learning community. Conduct research including benchmarking and share findings both internally and externally. * Ensure Caterpillar's leadership development approach for mid-level leaders is managed with operational excellence and has the desired impact. * Capabilities to be deployed are, but are not limited to, program and project management, adult learning strategy and content development, data analysis, written and verbal communication for a wide range of audiences including executives. * Define risks, resolve problems and redirect efforts for projects under his/her control to ensure specific goals are met and desired results are achieved. * Requires strong understanding and experience in increasing leadership capabilities to deliver proven business results through modern learning frameworks and platforms. Must understand the business, as well as the leadership capabilities needed by the business to deliver profitable growth. * Responsible for partnering effectively with external learning organizations as appropriate, managing those relationships. * This position is responsible for listening clearly to the needs of the business, leveraging their own deep expertise within the field of leadership development, sharing stakeholder updates suited to the various audiences, adjusting seamlessly to the evolving needs of the business, measuring the effectiveness and impact of the learning solutions and continuously driving improvement. * Position confronts complex issues or problems that require careful analysis and diagnosis. Manage the completion of own work assignments and requires close collaboration with others. #LI Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's level degree in addition to 6 to 10 years progressively responsible job-related experience. * Significant experience in leadership development strategy and execution for global organizations. * Experience in both designing and curating adult learning content. * Strong change management and communication skills both written and verbal. * Prior experience in adult learning in a Global corporate environment including learning needs analysis and measuring learning effectiveness and impact. * Proven experience in building relationships across a matrix organization at various levels. * Strong project and program management ability with proven experience in delivering results on-time and on-budget while functioning in a role that is high velocity and ever-evolving.
