ITW Residential & Renovation division is seeking an accomplished Global Operations Director to drive operational excellence, enhance our manufacturing capabilities for 80 products and drive a consolidation of our operational footprint, towards enabling business growth and driving best-in-class customer service levels

The Operations Director will serve as a critical member of the Residential & Renovation leadership team.  The Operations Director is responsible for developing a high-performance team across the functions of manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing,. packaging and distribution.    The role ensures timely delivery of a quality product, in quantities that meet sales demand and at a cost that insures profitability and growth consistent with ITW objectives.

The operations leader will also champion safety and the 80/20 framework within all of the operations locations, as well as the division.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic manufacturing and distribution center plans to establish procedures for maintaining high standards of operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.

• Collaborate across the organization by working with regional and global manufacturing and sourcing functions to implement strategies and action plans that deliver the most efficient and effective supply chain and distribution.  Consistently reduces costs through productivity gains and souring improvements.

• Evaluate operational footprint against market trends, to make strategic decisions that will enable business growth

• Execute division's inventory and procurement processes working with both third party and intercompany partners.

• Define key performance metrics and monitor performance to exceed KPI targets. Drive operational excellence in support of meeting or exceeding the division's financial targets within the Annual Plan and Long Range Plan.

• Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, and reduce cost, scrap and rework.

• Oversee the management of inventory to ensure that customer service levels delight our customers while managing to ITW's inventory philosophy.

• Coach, mentor and develop talent within the team.  Build a diverse, high performing organization.

• Provide strong leadership to the division's safety programs ensuring employee engagement in safety that sustains or develops a strong safety culture.

• Drive compliance with compliance with state and federal regulations and company standards.

• Develop self and coach division on 80/20 toolbox implementation
