Game-changing technology projects need expert project managers to drive them and that's where our Project Program Management IT team comes into its own. We lead all aspects of IT project, program and portfolio activity and collaborate across all areas of the company to get results for our customers that exceed their expectations. Focused on completing projects and programs on time, within scope and budget, we define the project value proposition, manage resources, guide project team members and keep leaders updated on the project status and risk factors.

Key Responsibilities

  • The key project assignment will be One Network projects and will focus on consolidation of Dell's network environment for more network efficiency and cheaper network costs with more capabilities. Projects will include but are not limited to deploying and operationalizing network switch deployments and security devices.

  • Manage projects, or specific activities related to projects within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality through the duration of the project from initiation through delivery. Coordinate global network services and any supporting cross-functional teams, including meetings and progress measurement activity, to bring distinct, specific projects to completion on time and within budget; Conduct periodic reviews to ensure project is on track and conducts post-project reviews.

  • Allocate work among team members and provides guidance on a regular basis.

  • Ensure all project documentation is kept up-to-date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.

  • Utilize relevant project management tools, systems, and applications.

  • Manage risks and issues -- Escalate as necessary to meet expectations of scope, schedule and resources by the stakeholders.

  • Define supporting and/or driving process improvements.

Essential Requirements
8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a Master's degree ; Experience to include:

  • Leading 5-10 member project teams.

  • Communicating clearly verbally, in writing, in presentations and interpersonally, and presenting at the various leadership levels, and communicating and working well with regionally distributed teams and driving their actions to completion.

  • Project Management (project planning, risk/cost/scope/schedule management, among others).

  • Managing change, engaging team members and building successful professional relationships.

  • Successfully providing direction and leadership to others with excellent results.
