Equus is seeking an accomplished Tax Manager who will be a key resource within the Global Client Success Team to deliver tax solutions to our clients’ delight. This includes leading working sessions to onboard new clients to utilize our Equus Tax Engine, managing project teams in configuration, building and testing of system tax settings.

You will collaborate with teams within Equus to foster best practice, ensure client satisfaction with Equus’ tax solutions, and support client adoption of new features.

You must have broad and current knowledge of international tax developments and a deep understanding of our clients’ global mobility tax needs.

Preference is Lakewood or Plano but may consider remote for the right candidate. US only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As, a manager, you’ll work as part of our Global Success Team, creating a well-executed experience for new clients’ transitioning to the Equus Tax Engine and work with existing clients using Equus Mobility Workforce Platform.
• Lead workstreams from planning to conducting client onboarding/workshop project meetings.
• Design and configure solutions using the Equus Mobility Workforce Platform to meet clients’ mobility tax needs.
• Apply your tax and technical experience in tax compliance and compensation to identify and research tax issues impacting global mobility clients; directly engaging our clients is vital, be ready to answer inquires providing results.
• Develop, deliver in-house/client education material, consulting, and training on Equus Mobility Workforce Platform tax solutions.
• Innovative, extremely creative, and constantly looking for ways to improve our processes.
• Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities, as required.
• Support thought leadership and marketing initiatives such as client conferences, industry events and campaigns.

QUANTITATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Maintain current tax-related certification.

·         Meet agreed OKR targets in Client Success projects.

·         Achieve high marks on client satisfaction surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of progressive global mobility tax experience in a public accounting firm or multinational company.
• MS in Taxation or an advanced degree in a closely related field.
• Licensed CPA, EA or an equivalent qualification.
• Successful delivery of mobility tax projects; technical excellence and practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges.
• Proficiency in global tax costs projections or similar global mobility software with a proven track record for client software onboarding.
• Analytical approach to tax; ability to convert complex data into meaningful strategic insights.
• Exceptional verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax concepts to all levels of clients.
• Managing, coaching, and developing junior peers, focusing on their technical and client service skills to develop their career.
• Ability and flexibility to self-manage, organize, and prioritize meeting multiple deliverables and deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed and working in a balanced hybrid environment.
