The Global Mobility Consultant will ensure a smooth and positive experience for each assignee by administering the policies and programs associated with global mobility and relocation programs. Act as contact on all expatriate/delegate and other talent mobility matters including coordination with various vendors and Munich HR Colleagues. Participate in various functions related to Compensation administration for all supported entities.

Major Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the end to end process for all international, regional and domestic transfers across the U.S. including but not limited to: calculating and estimating expatriate packages, partnering with tax provider to calculate cost estimates, manage the domestic relocation process with vendor, review process all employee compensation/allowances, coordinate all assignee payroll instructions and tax matters.

  • Oversee fiscal year end and tax year end processes by partnering with external tax provider and internal teams.

  • Participates in the communication of compensation and global mobility programs including alignment within a total rewards framework.

  • Ensure proper charge backs between regional and global entities as well as support all tax and compliance administration as relates to foreign, regional and domestic assignments.

  • Work closely with Munich Re-Munich colleagues to ensure seamless integration of international programs. Guide and support assignees on all global mobility related matters ensuring a consistent application and communication of all global mobility programs (IAP, EBT, domestic relocations, GCC, Munich/Princeton Staff Exchange Program, Executive Relocations, etc).

  • Deliver local subject matter expertise to management, staff, HR Business Partners and other HR colleagues on global mobility matters.

  • Maintain assignee files. Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of all necessary documentation. Maintain an up to date status of all assignees.

  • Partner, as needed, with Munich Re HR, Regional HR, legal subject matter experts and others as needed for policy interpretation and application. Follow program guidelines and direction from functional subject matter experts as well as administer or activate all assignment related actions (i.e., relocation, remuneration, etc).

  • Evaluate and address consistency and compliance related concerns associated with international, regional assignments and domestic relocations. Participates in analyzing internal and external processes to ensure efficiency and flexibility.

  • Acts as back-up to other team members across the covered entities.

The Global Talent Strategy Lead will partner with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, Workforce Planning, and Talent Management to support development of global talent acquisition strategy plans to meet the needs of the business inclusive of current and future build/buy talent strategies. They will develop cohesive partnerships with Executive Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition Service Delivery teams by sharing talent acquisition strategies to enable the delivery of competitive talent in alignment with short and long-term business strategy plans.
