Job Purpose:

  • The GLP Manager will be part of a small global team that is responsible for managing the loan portfolio for Corporate Banking, and will have direct responsibility for a combination of GCIB Industry Sectors (+/- 400 relationships / +/- $400mm direct P&L). They will join a team of seasoned professionals who work closely together & strive to provide our clients with optimal capital solutions to help them succeed.

  • The Group Head will play a critical role within the deal team consisting of Corporate and Investment Banking, Underwriting and product partners across capital markets, global markets & transaction services, helping drive improved performance by deepening client relationships.

  • Play an integral role in structuring and pricing of credit and balance sheet solutions offered to our clients within GCIB.

  • Act as a key catalyst in influencing capital and balance sheet decisions to achieve organizational goals, drive responsible loan growth and higher profitability.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory capital requirements, including Basel III (Advanced and Standardized), Supplementary Leverage Ratio (SLR), and Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR).

  • Provide enhanced transactional, relationship and portfolio level oversight through consistent decision making while driving accountability for profitable growth.

  • Drive agility and responsiveness in face of strategic and regulatory change.


  • Global Loan Products (GLP) primary responsibilities include: (i) ownership & optimization of P&L, capital and liquidity for GCIB's core loan book, (ii) balance of risk & reward, (iii) ownership of the Capital Review Council approval process and governance end-to-end, (iv) management of loan portfolio profitability through portfolio management, including loan sales & purchases and Lookback reviews, (v) manage roll-forward forecasting and provide inputs to Finance's baseline forecasts and (vi) provide advisory and thought leadership on Loan product to GCIB coverage teams.

  • Continuing development of strong relationships with all Lines of Business in GBAM and key stakeholders to facilitate delivery aligned to business and client strategies.

  • Ensuring that appropriate processes and routines are in place to maintain an effective control environment. Participating in relevant governance routines at a country, regional or legal entity level, including where necessary delivery of management information.

  • Manage the country/regional regulatory relationship on behalf of Global Loan Products, including supporting other lines of business or control partners where necessary on issues impacting Global Loan Products.

  • Operational Effectiveness & Operational Excellence around ongoing enhancements to the overall organization/culture/processes within Wholesale Credit.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 12 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in client coverage, credit & underwriting, origination, portfolio management or capital/balance sheet management.

  • Working knowledge of credit risk management and control.

  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, market and regulatory environment in which the bank operates, and how that impacts on client and portfolio's credit profile.

  • Awareness and understanding of the bank's business strategy and risk framework.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Governance, oversight and controls, ability to assess the effectiveness of the bank's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business.

  • Broader Risk awareness and understanding of main factors affecting bank, and wider industry.

  • Knowledge of regulatory capital environment and its impact on various bank products and client profitability.

  • Project management, ability to deliver change with a focus on improving operational efficiency.

  • Team management experience.

Role Summary: The Sr. Global Product Manager will be responsible for owning and managing the engineered products (actuators and rotary unions) products throughout its life cycle. They will establish and communicate product line features/benefits and value proposition both internally and externally. The Sr. Global Product Manager will have an intimate understanding of market drivers from the perspective of the end user and channel partner with an emphasis on future trends in the industry. Key Accountability: * Identify and prioritize market opportunities for profitable growth. Develop and launch appropriate programs to take advantage of those opportunities. * Specify requirements for new products (features, cost, etc.) and initiate development activities. * Launch new products, incorporating appropriate marketing communication, advertising, promotional and training activities. * Establish and maintain appropriate pricing relationships (list prices) between products and product lines based on market value and positioning. * Continually update the product portfolio and position products in support of overall brand strategy. * Analyze margins and initiate appropriate actions to improve as required (cost reduction in manufacturing, alternative sourcing, etc.). * Provide technical information/training for internal (training coordinator, outside sales, customer service, etc.) and external customers. Participate in trade shows, customer training seminars, etc. * Support geographic expansion by understanding local needs, technical specifications, competitors, pricing, etc. * Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, logistics and other organizations to evaluate and implement sourcing changes. * Participate in technical committees and trade associations that establish technical/functional/safety standards for manual hoist products. * Coordinate/facilitate product-related communications between functions such as sales, customer service, pricing/quotations, engineering, manufacturing and finance. * Compile competitive data and work with marketing communications to create materials that highlight features/benefits of CMCO products versus the competition. * Systematically prune old/obsolete products, incorporating activities to minimize excess/obsolete inventory and maximize conversion to newer products. * Other duties as assigned. Competencies: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to individuals, or groups, train people in technical applications of products, and respond to questions from sales personnel and customers. * Ability to work with mathematical, mechanical and basic engineering concepts.
