Function Overview

This individual will support our security awareness and education program. Ultimately this person's role is to reduce risk to our organization by ensuring all employees, staff and contractors know, understand and follow our security requirements and behave in a secure manner. You will gain experience working with GIS and business leaders and an opportunity to institutionalize and manage processes that will create a long term legacy of Trust for our employees and customers aligned with Whirlpool's Mission.

Job Description:

  • Support security compliance program

  • Administer, manage, and support 3rd party risk management platform

  • Assist in security evaluations of 3rd party suppliers

  • Embed 3rd party risk due diligence requirements globally

  • Support Virtual Private Network (VPN) security onboarding process

  • Support security awareness program to meet all industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Support and maintain a security awareness program that effectively changes behaviors so our employees act in a secure manner, reducing the most risk to our organization.

  • Utilize continuous improvement techniques to streamline and enhance security processes

  • Create a global metrics framework that can effectively measure security requirements

  • Assist regional security lead engagement across Whirlpool's global landscape

  • Minimal travel required


  • Ability to form complex communications / messages in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various communities within our organization. This can include different cultures, nationalities, international locations and languages.

  • Project management experience, the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex, organization wide program.

  • Ability to communicate with and coordinate the activities of internal and external resources.

  • Understand the concepts of information risks and the different elements that make up risk.

  • Possess basic knowledge of concepts related to information security and data privacy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience and training - GPA 3.0/4.0

  • Success stories managing projects and advancing organizational goals

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Passion for cyber-security and data privacy

  • Working in leading, coaching and mentoring teams

  • Ability to network across multiple organizations while earning the confidence and trust of colleagues

  • PMP Certification is a plus

  • CompTIA Security+ is a plus

  • Agile project management methodology knowledge and experience is a plus

  • Experience in major technology platforms is a plus (ServiceNow, Archer GRC, SAP)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments concurrently

Position: Senior Manager, Identity and Access Management Job Responsibilities * Responsible for the processes and standards related to user's identity and access management globally. * Collaborate with leaders of business units and other IT functions to understand requirements, communicate capabilities, and manage expectations of service levels provided by the Identity and Access Management team. * Support business projects and initiatives during all the development phases, providing guidelines and security resources for activities related to user administration, role management and access provisioning. * Hold authority over the creation, revocation, review, and control of more than 100,000 users of Whirlpool's information security systems globally and take corrective actions in the event of access violations. * Manage service providers' performance, SLAs and user satisfaction. * Serve as system owner for the technology landscape used to maintain identity and access throughout the Whirlpool Corporation enterprise. * Maintain end-to-end process accountability, including global controls efficiency and compliance for identity and access management. * Oversee and manage technical staff who perform an internal consulting role, providing direction to IT project teams and business users on effective design and system decisions for identity and access management technology and process integration. * Manage relationships with vendors to ensure proper product licensing, effective and timely vendor support. * Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and proper system controls are demonstrated * Manage department expense and capital expenditures within budgetary guidelines. * Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes. * Build and maintain employee morale and motivation. * Ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies. Function Overview Experienced professional to be part of the Information Security Organization at Whirlpool Corporation, who will be in charge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) function globally and report to the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer). The IAM Senior Manager will hold global accountability for the related policies, processes, standards and the systems used to maintain identity and access rights. This position will be accountable for access management operations, address over 35,000 change tickets annually, and provide advisory, support and resources to IT projects requiring IAM services. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields. * 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, including user directories, role management, user administration, authorization concepts, access provisioning processes and SAP Security. * Experience with SAP GRC AC (Access Control) and related processes such as SoD (Segregation of Duties), critical action, risk analysis, mitigating control, SAP firefighter. * Experience working with multicultural teams, and projects with global dependencies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, being able to tailor messages for the audience. * Strong interrelationship and negotiation skills.
