The Defense segment within DuPont Safety & Construction business is an exciting business focused on personal protection for soldiers and law enforcement focused on providing innovative materials used in soft body armor, hard body armor (helmets & plates), protective uniforms, and vehicle armoring. The needs and expectations of personal protective equipment for military and law enforcement personnel continues to change to increase comfort while improving protection and performance of the wearer. We have several great brands used to promote our innovative products including Kevlar, Nomex and Tensylon. The Defense segment is a growth segment with the expectation of investment in key initiatives for sustainable growth.
The Ballistic Protection Industry Vertical Manager (IVM) is responsible for all Global marketing activities for the Ballistic Protection business within the Defense segment. They will be the Global Ballistic Protection expert and will drive growth for the business. The IVM will lead the business in understanding the soldier and law enforcement ballistic protection markets including market trends, customers, competition and unmet needs. Drive the understanding of and influence the evolution of regulations and standards in the industry. The IVM will lead Global cross functional growth initiatives for the Ballistic Protection vertical.
Lead the integration of the Global cross functional Ballistic Protection in the Defense segment team
Leader in developing an understanding of the Global soldier & law enforcement ballistic protection market and market trends (Globally and in each Region) for the verticals including where we can compete, where we can win.
Drive the understanding of the competition in Ballistic Protection and define our strategies to grow and win
Define the Ballistic Protection product portfolio of today and needs of the future (growth programs)
Lead the Digital marketing strategy and execution for Global Ballistic Protection including website, social media, digital tools, and eMarketing to drive intimacy with end use or downstream customers.
Drive customer segmentation at the end use and brand house levels to focus marketing and sales efforts and maximize growth potential
Develop the Global Ballistic Protection Sales tools (Licensing Agreement templates, Marketing Support agreement templates, distributor and sales team toolbox)
Develop Challenger commercial insights along with other tools to educate customers on Kevlar value proposition and how to sell it through the value chain (ie. through presentations, white papers, webinars etc.).
Drive key growth initiatives for Kevlar & Tensylon in soldier & law enforcement personal protection including new products, services or promotional activities
Drive key marketing communication plan consistent with the segment strategy
Performance measured based on the delivery of Ballistic Protection growth initiatives
Bachelor's degree or above with MBA as a plus.
5 years of marketing/product management experience.
Proven ability to develop and execute a global strategy and marketing plan
Ability to manage via influence globally and across multiple functions
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferably some experience in Military and/or Law Enforcement Markets
Excellent written and oral English.
High travel (40-60%)
