POSITION DESCRIPTION

DOVER GLOBAL SOURCING

GLOBAL INDIRECTS IT & DIGITAL CATEGORY PROJECT MANAGER

Location

Corporate office in Downers Grove, IL

Purpose:

The person(s) hired into this role will contribute to world-class implementations of Global IT and Digital supply agreements and center led category management. The individual will perform as a professional sourcing specialist/project manager, act as a corporate representative of the Indirects initiatives, and interact with senior and executive management throughout the company.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Quantitative profile development, data analysis and business case development for IT and Digital strategic sourcing projects (supplier research, master data, market basket analysis, pricing analysis, etc.)

  • Project management of sourcing initiatives from initial opportunity assessment through supplier engagement and implementation

  • Communications of category strategies and direction to all levels of the organization and with our customers, the Operating Companies (OpCos)

  • Vendor management of strategic supplier partnerships and high level relationships

  • Further develop suppliers to support the Dover organization

  • RFP/RFQ/RFI development to support Indirects activity across Dover.

  • Develop rapport and confidence of our internal customers, the Dover OpCos, and our suppliers to enhance collaboration and improve project adoption

  • Qualitative profile development and analysis (executive summaries, exhibit creation, etc.).

  • Monthly/quarterly reporting of KPI's (savings tracking, price variances, quality, delivery, inventory).

  • Maintain group data (agreements, project results, supplier communication, etc.).

  • Analysis and reporting to all levels of organization when analyzing spend and performance

  • Understand , recommend, and introduce innovative technologies to the organization

  • Process and Policy implementation/improvement

  • Indirects Web Site maintenance, and communications to primary OpCo supply chain leaders, as necessary.

  • Other ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned.

  • Effectively communicate to all team members, multiple operating company stakeholders, senior management, and suppliers

  • Prioritize and organize workload and control detailed complexities across multiple projects

  • Develop and grow relationships with stakeholders and leadership promoting and expanding the sourcing process within assigned projects

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain processes as well as a vast array of indirect products and services used globally

  • Prior Sourcing experience in a forward-looking and progressive company. Experience with Indirects categories is a strong plus

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.

  • Interest to grow in the role and to grow with Dover.

  • Ability to work in a complex, matrixed, multi-national corporate/subsidiary environment

Work Requirements:

  • Up to 20% travel required.

  • Some international travel may be required.

  • Normal office environment.

Experience:

Candidates should demonstrate at least 5 to 7 years' experience in at least two of the following areas: Procurement, supply chain, finance, engineering / technical, manufacturing operations, management consulting, and project management. Prior experience in the following categories is a plus: MRO, Packaging, Facilities, Professional Services, IT, Utilities, Logistics, Travel, Office Products and Employee Benefits.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science, or Engineering

  • Experience and training in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, data analysis and/or the procurement processes

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications; advanced word processing and database skills a plus Professional Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Project Management certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, CPM, etc.) a plus

The Senior Remediation Project Manager will lead project teams serving a portfolio of well-established clients and projects in the utility market and other industries.
