  • Workday. The Global HRIS Manager is a leader as well as hands-on technical expert for HRIS, helping define and execute a technology roadmap that balances the strategic and operational needs of HRpeople management.

The HRIS Manager is responsible for providing leadership, planning and project management for the design and oversight of Global HRIS initiatives in support of organizational goals and practices. This position shall also serve as the subject matter expert of all modules in Workday, security administration, business process design, compensation setup, end user experience, reporting and analytics. This position will be responsible for data analysis, development and distribution of critical reports/dashboards to the organization. This position ensures best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within Workday. This is a leadership role as well as having responsibility for the performance and oversight of day to day operations of the HRIS function.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with global and regional HR partners to develop and integrate technical solutions to drive business objectives, as well as US Payroll team.

  • Develop strategy and provide tactical direction for HRIS to maximum functionality of Workday.

  • Consult key stakeholder teams to ascertain organizational needs for HRIS data and information

  • Direct HRIS strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering, optimization, and system strategy

  • Lead/oversee the planning, execution and testing of key activities for system upgrades

  • Monitors HRIS system and all interfaces to ensure they function properly in key modules and reporting

  • Develop and maintain best practice documentation

  • Partner with peer teams in IT to effectively manage the HRIS and integrations with other business systems

  • Develop and maintain awareness of HR data security and comply with policies and procedures

  • Research and provide recommendations to engage stakeholders on opportunities for improvement, optimization, and efficiencies to enhance our functionality and use of Workday

  • Coach, mentor and provide leadership development to HRIS team

  • Communicate effectively and utilize interpersonal and organizational skills both formally and informally to perform multiple tasks and manage changing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with Workday HRIS

  • 3+ years experience with Workday payroll module knowledge

  • Workday certified a plus

  • 3+ years supervisory experience

  • Highly skilled in implementing, configuring and maintaining HRIS/HCMS applications

  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Workday.

  • Strong planning and project management skills.

  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.

  • Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration

  • Strategic thinker who takes initiative and ownership

  • Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical users

  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and initiate change

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organized, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines

  • Skilled in gathering, summarizing and reporting information to senior management

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and service-oriented disposition
