DuPont currently has an opening in the Safety & Construction business for a Global HR Leader partnering closely with the Water Filtration and Strategy, Growth & Ventures organizations. The Safety & Construction business is a global leader with strong portfolios including high-performance fibers and foams, aramid papers, non-woven structures, membranes and filtration technologies, and protective garments along with well-known brands like Kevlar,Nomex, Tyvek, Styrofoam, Corian and Great Stuff to create industry-setting solutions that protect, shelter and enhance lives.

Water Filtration:

The Water Filtration business is the global leader in water filtration space with $1 bn. in revenue, and 1700 employees across the world. This business has a number of manufacturing sites such as Edina, MN, US; Midland, MI US; Chauny, France; Fambio, Italy: Qimpu and Huzhou; China, Soma, Japan and Saudi Arabia. The global water technology center is at Tarragona, Spain. Smaller technology centers are located at Collegeville, PA, US and Shanghai, China. Over 50% of revenue comes from Asia Pacific. EMEA and NA are of similar size represents 45% of the business. Latin American is a smaller region contributing 5%.

Strategy, Growth & Ventures:

Global Strategy, Growth & Ventures (SG&V) is focused on developing the overall business segment strategy and driving key initiatives to enable growth beyond the core S&C businesses. It's comprised of a distributed, multi-expertise / multi-functional team of approximately 25, senior level professionals focused on incubation business ventures, organic and inorganic growth strategy and the development and deployment of innovation tools and processes to improve business operations.

In this role you will be:

  • A strategic partner to the business leaders for the Water Filtration and SG&V businesses leadership teams leading human capital imperatives to drive business value in alignment with DuPont Safety & Construction strategy.

  • Accountable for the effectiveness of all HR activities across supported organizations. In alignment with the Safety & Construction Global HR Business Leader, working closely with Water Filtration & SG&V Leadership to identify and validate HR needs to achieve strategic objectives for the business.

Strategic Business Partner

  • Provides direct consultative and strategic partnering to leaders to maximize performance of the organization

  • Identifies, articulates and translates the HR needs of the organization to the Corporate COEs and deploys appropriate processes and programs offered by the COE's in ways that bring business value

  • Champions the deployment of standard HR processes across the Line of Businesses (LOBs) they support

  • Understands and monitors effectiveness of HR programs through use of metrics and HR analytics in a way that drives manufacturing performance

  • Accountable for the deployment and effectiveness of all talent management and talent development processes globally for their LOBs

  • Maintains awareness and knowledge of full range of contemporary HR theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation translating and converting HR concepts and theory into systems solutions for enhanced employee performance and business success


  • Provides direct consultative and strategic partnering and coaching to the global Water Filtration & SG&V leadership teams to maximize performance of the commercial and manufacturing organizations

  • Collaborates with Safety & Construction HR Business Partners, the Regional HR Directors and the local country HR Business Partners for effective deployment of HR programs and initiatives globally

  • Collaborates with COE's for maximum effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives

HR Process Responsibilities:

  • Leads the global LOB talent management and global talent development processes for Safety & Construction. (Organization Leadership Review, ALDP and Strategic Workforce Planning)

  • Leads implementation of engagement survey processes and action planning processes

  • Leads organization design efforts as required

  • Leads workforce planning and supports the talent acquisition processes including on-boarding and new employee orientation


In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Openness to international travel 50%. (80% of the Water business is outside of the continental United States and most future growth is in emerging markets)

  • Strong leadership skills and experiences

  • Proven performance in driving Employee Alignment and Engagement

  • Broad experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and creating organizational capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience in driving leadership effectiveness

  • Strong interest and capability in talent development and talent management

  • Demonstrated results orientation and high level of energy / passion

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt corporate HR direction to the needs of the organization.

  • Demonstrates strong teamwork, collaboration and cross-cultural skills

  • Demonstrated skills and experience for effectively interacting with all levels of the organization

  • Fundamental understanding of HRIS technology applications such as Taleo, Workday, etc.

  • Strong analytical capability

Preferred Experiences:

  • Integration experience associated with M&A with special focus on driving culture change, organizational and team integration

  • Experience of working in a market facing business will be helpful

  • Experience of working with a global team, particularly focused on emerging regions growth

  • Works Council / Union experience


  • College / University degree with at least 10-15 Years of experience in Human Resources, preferable in a multinational environment

Your key responsibilities: * Work closely with senior-level leaders and HRBPs to build a comprehensive D&I strategy that responds to a dynamic market environment and positions D&I as a capability throughout the global organization. * Provide thought-leadership focused on developing innovative and business focused D&I programs and initiatives that go beyond representation and advance growth synergies. * Ensure strategic alignment of D&I objectives across the enterprise. Work closely with business unit and functional leaders to ensure that D&I is woven into the company's core processes/practices and conforms to DuPont's Core Values and Guiding Principles. * Work with the Chief HR Officer and other members of the executive leadership team to establish annual and measurable D&I objectives and goals, and then create a process for holding leaders accountable through KPI's and metrics. * Create monthly, quarterly and annual diversity metrics; gather and analyze data and produce reports to provide progress against diversity metrics and action plans. * Partner with the other COE Leaders (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Learning, Talent Management), HRBPs, global leaders/teams and employee/resource groups to drive a diverse talent pipeline and organization performance through diversity. * Look for innovative ways to build DuPont's D&I strategy into business processes such as talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement and retention. * Partner and support Talent Management, Learning and HRBP's to drive programs that integrate diversity into compensation practices and performance review processes. * Contribute to the development of a compelling employer brand to attract and retain diverse talent. * Promote visibility and image of D&I through all communication with staff and partners via intranet/web pages, recruitment branding and working with partners across the globe on diversity and engagement. * Astutely communicate both internally and externally on behalf of the organization around D&I initiatives, results and opportunities that support organic growth and drive brand awareness.
