Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Global HPump Field Service Manager to support Artificial Lift in Claremore, OK. This role offers the opportunity to expose the employee to a variety of challenging and complex applications around the globe. It provides the ability to deliver on site field service related support for Horizontal Pump Systems as well as to guide regions with best practices and most updated procedures and tooling requirements. Furthermore, it provides training to field service specialist on a scheduled timeline as well as to deliver field audits to measure field service personnel readiness.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance with creation, standardization and guidance of Field Service (FS) procedures and tooling for Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS).

  • Assist with regional FS integration by assessing key FS specialists who can then become regional trainers and assessors for their respective area or region.

  • Conducts sporadic field audits across the globe to evaluate regional field personnel readiness with HPump systems

  • Delivers HPump Field Service training once a quarter

  • Develops HPumps FS maintenance tracking program

  • Provides guidance and support to regions in meeting local FS competencies following competency management program (CMP) policy


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science/Technology, and/or Management.

  • 10 years of experience with Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS) field operations including installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Well knowledge in downstream and midstream operations to evaluate and assess operation of HPS

  • Mechanical and Electrically oriented to understand and troubleshoot systems remotely when supporting other regions

  • Knowledge in the use of computer systems such as: SAP, AutographPC and Microsoft Package

  • Comfortable with the use of specialized HPS tooling such as laser alignment tools, shims, and Murphy switches

  • Service & Customer delivery oriented. Capable to handle customer communications as HPS subject matter expert (SME)

  • Must be eligible to work in the USA w/o sponsorship

Desired Characteristics:

  • International HPS field service experience

  • Offshore HPS field service experience

  • HPS reliability and critical wells application knowledge

  • Experience establishing FS maintenance tracking programs

Knowledge and Physical Requirements * 21 years of age or older, with high school diploma or equivalent. * Prior work experience in hospital setting or customer service preferred. * Basic computer skills. * Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required. * Valid driver's license and potential for DOT certification. * Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds. * Able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Development Level II * Proficient in the UHS systems and Microsoft Office programs. * Serves as part of training team for other members in Division/Region. * Demonstrates a high level of sales aptitude with customers, and identifies and brings opportunities to review as part of the territory planning process. * Possesses strong customer interfacing skills based on relationships established with accounts. * Serves as a lead for key accounts (e.g., accounts using patient handling and negative pressure wound therapy services). * Serves as a peer advisor to employees. Orients, trains and assigns and checks other employees' work, as appropriate. * Serves as a subject matter expert for key projects in the office (e.g, quality indicator scores, inventory, accounts receivables). * Places internal requisitions and assists with inventory management of replacement parts. * Able to retrieve and use information to support technical services and the repair of fleet equipment to improve utilization. * Develops other personnel in the district office (cross and lateral training). Level III * Considered a subject matter expert with district offices around equipment management tasks, policies and procedures. * Works with the Trade Desk on sales and buyout opportunities. * Able to perform district office audits. * Able to complete manufacturer service calls (mechanical, not technical) and all necessary documentation. * Able to in-service patient handling and negative pressure devices to clinical staff.
