What you will do

The Global Head, Retail Excellence, is an influential voice of customer and category role within Kenvue. In this role, the leader will be responsible for embedding a category-centric approach that establishes Kenvue as a leader in winning growth strategies and executional excellence for them and their customers. They will shape, lead, and support the development several capabilities, including Category Visioning and Strategic Portfolio Management, as well as ensuring that strong executional thinking is embedded throughout brand strategies.

A successful candidate will shape and execute the Kenvue approach to Category Visioning - partnering with the Franchise and lead (design) market Commercial (Sales & Marketing) Teams, Consumer Insights and Analytics Team, and eCommerce / Digital Team to identify data and insight needs and translate those insights into new category growth strategies. This individual will lead a global category excellence leadership team to identify new growth opportunities in an omni-channel environment and engage cross-functional teams to build category leadership stories and shape portfolio and brand execution guidelines.

Additionally, the Global Head, Retail Excellence will play a critical role as part of the Retail Excellence Committee, shaping the global Kenvue approach for Joint Business Planning, Revenue Growth Management, and "perfect store" business performance measure, which deliver excellence in execution and customer collaborations.

As a key leader within Customer Development, the candidate will be responsible for deliverables that position Kenvue as the undisputed leader in personal health - establishing how we can add value to our customers business through health care thought leadership and across our partnership on Healthy Lives and Sustainability.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of global Category vision capability - partnering with key stakeholders to establish global to local framework, ways of working, which inform global growth strategies, brand role, and execution framework to maximize value for our Kenvue and omni-partners.

  • Collaborate to shape and deploy a global executional guideline which leverage global and lead market insights and strategic portfolio management process to identify category growth opportunities, innovation territories, and inform brand go to market strategies (building blocks)

  • Embed category visioning capability within global brand teams and lead global category excellence team to master capability, and deliver consistent business process, impactful strategies, across teams.

  • Establish robust strategic portfolio management process and tools within global brand teams.

  • Collaborate with lead markets and regional deployment leads to assess new portfolio opportunities and integrate resourced opportunities into global strategy.

  • Partner with design and lead market category, customer catman teams to identify, shape, and deploy innovative retail experience and merchandising executions.

  • Partner with Learning & Development leads to define and deploy Kenvue Category Excellence training.

  • Partner with regional Retail Excellence committee to establish Kenvue approach, aligned KPIs and deployment roadmap across Joint Business Planning, Perfect Store (performance against execution standards), and Revenue Growth management.

  • Act as single point of contact between Learning and Development and Technology, Data and Tools teams and Retail Excellence committee - identifying resource requirements, aligning deployment plans and enabling continued process enhancement.

  • Act, on behalf of RE committee, as lead to integrate executional requirements within brand teams - ensuring global strategies guide and enable Kenvue's retail execution picture of success.

  • As needed, support region / local - level deployment and scaling for retail excellence capabilities: process, L&D, tools, and tech

  • Partner with design markets, and business analytics to shape and deliver global learning plan (category, shopper insights) which delivers strong ROI and business results.

  • Act as "voice of customer and category" within total Kenvue and across brand growth teams - developing retail thought leadership which positions Kenvue as the leader in consumer health and everyday care.

  • Global category and customer lead for total Kenvue and/or cross-brand customer and growth initiatives, such as Customer Product Transparency, Sustainability partnerships, Kenvue Customer Segmentation model, and Cross-regional channel expansion strategy.

  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor respective budget(s) ensuring a strong return for investment.

  • Acquire and attract diverse talent to upskill the organization.

  • Lead the talent and performance management of reporting staff, while identifying and developing top-potential individuals who can fill the succession planning needs of the company in the future.

What we are looking for:

Required Minimum Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree

Required Years of Related Experience:

  • 10 years of Consumer Products industry experience in Category or Customer Strategy, Customer Business Development, Category Insights & Analytics, and/or Shopper Insights & analytics
  • 5 years of people management experience

  • Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $184,000 to $339,250. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
