JOB SUMMARY:

Lead and oversee the formation of Envista IT's first IT Business Operations organization, comprised of IT PMO, Business Delivery Partners, Vendor Management Office, and Enterprise Architecture functions. This leader will ensure IT resources and priorities are aligned to Envista corporate and OpCo strategic objectives. The role will define and lead portfolio management inclusive of long range & annual planning, intake of work, and resource & vendor management and governance. Develop and implement PMO governance approach to meet deadlines and budget, inclusive of portfolio team, scrum masters, project managers, and program managers.

Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement to define, prioritize and develop value stream roadmaps. Manage deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to improve consistency, predictability, and efficiency of IT's project delivery and agile maturity. Develop and execute ongoing value realization approach for all initiatives in partnership with the business and finance. Lead change management, continuous improvement, and integration of IT Business Operations into Envista IT's overall operating model.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

  • Own and manage the IT Business Operation organization's transformation strategy in alignment with Envista IT's strategic goals and vision.

  • Implement IT roadmap calibration processes to ensure its ongoing relevance to Envista strategic objectives.

  • Responsible for setting the strategic direction of IT Business Operations, in line with the vision and goals of the organization.

  • Anticipate technical, business, political, and organizational hurdles in implementing new strategic initiatives and work with leadership and peers to seek solutions.

  • Advise executive leadership on delivery and sourcing strategy, operating model development, and enterprise governance.

  • Provide overall leadership to project management structure, approach, and reporting.

  • Work broadly across teams to ensure that best practice management structure and processes are implemented and managed to drive scope management and on-time/on-budget development and deployment.

  • Develop, track, analyze, and publish project and financial reports, scorecards, and program/project performance trends.

  • Create transparency, measurability, and accountability to effectively manage deliveries.

  • Oversee the critical area of delivery risk management, dependency management and mitigation, inclusive of issue identification, risk assessment and mitigation development and recommendations.

  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee stakeholder communication for status of efforts inclusive of risks, issues, dependencies, and milestone tracking.

  • Provide thought leadership across PMO, Business Delivery, Vendor Management, and Enterprise Architecture teams to overcome obstacles, identify and remove potential barriers, increase efficiency, and enable delivery at scale.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  • Lead strategic planning and visioning for IT Business Operations organization in alignment with the overall enterprise IT strategy.

  • Work with key stakeholders across the organization to develop strategic transformation initiatives and to establish KPIs to monitor achievement of the strategy.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in business case development and options valuation methodology.

  • Guide strategy execution and tracking function to accurately capture the progress and outputs of strategic initiatives.

  • Lead portfolio planning and management across all IT initiatives and enhancements inclusive of integration of stakeholder input, coordination of prioritization and valuation of business case reviews for approvals.

  • Define, develop, implement, and sustain a change control process to support delivery needs are adequately defined, reviewed, and tracked based on approval criteria to not impact delivery timelines.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve robust and sustainable governance model.

  • Optimize use of portfolio, development and execution tools used within IT to enable more efficient oversight of driving work into production.

  • Develop vendor relationship management support processes to onboard/off board vendors, streamline administrative tasks and support leadership in vendor performance evaluation across IT teams.

  • Manage IT capital and expense budget in partnership with finance.

DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP

  • Achieve operational excellence and superior results by building a high-performing team to achieve and exceed goals and objectives

  • Supervise and mentor direct reports/team members in day-to-day management

  • Provides clear executive decision-making priority management.

BUDGET & PROCESS MANAGEMENT

  • Manage department budget in partnership with finance to manage resource needs, vendor contracts and project delivery.

  • Understands and actively shapes cost attribution and/or chargeback strategy to ensure transparent allocation of IT resources enterprise wide.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree is required preferably in engineering, technology, analytics or related fields.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 12+ years in progressive transformation, technology enablement, or innovation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Preferred: Lean Portfolio certification, Project management certification (PMI or similar) and/or certification in use of specific methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, etc.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
