HP's marketing group is focused on the assessment and specification of customer needs for product development including all aspects of pricing, targeting, messaging and advertising products for sale to external customers. This may include estimations used to project unit production and recommendations for new products due to customer insights. In addition, it is HP's objective to become one of the most admired companies and one of the most innovative brands in the world. To achieve this, the organization is focused on becoming one of the most effective digitally anchored marketing organizations in the world.

This role identifies key marketing priorities to drive the Print Business Group forward. As an integral member of the senior leadership team, this leader will have a full understanding of the business priorities, develop a marketing strategy that supports those objectives, and develop worldwide marketing content that can be executed by the regional teams. Role reports to both the leader of Print Business Group which they support, with a second reporting relationship to the Chief Marketing Officer. Role sits within the Business Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • People responsibilities of ~300 employees

  • Lead marketing for HP Inc.'s Print Business Group; responsibilities span the entire consumer and commercial portfolio. Covers a wide range of products, services, and solutions that cover end-to-end marketing

  • Set vision for marketing strategies, policies, standards and direction across the Region for Print. Influence the design & positioning of products for the Business Group, including working with leaders in Print and Sales Operations to align how a product goes to market

  • Maintain deep understanding of consumer makeup of the market, review consumer insights, business intelligence and survey research to determine most effective methods of market penetration

  • Develop marketing analytics, demand generation, customer relationship marketing, go-to-market, brand strategy and communications, marketing programs for Print

  • Build and develop strong team(s) with a focus on collaboration, execution and excellence. Lead worldwide teams, as well as regional and country marketing teams, with presence in over 80 markets. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

  • Lead the development of the consumer and commercial segment marketing strategies and plans, in close collaboration with business leadership and Country Marketing Leaders, (CMLs); category and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams truly bringing to life the 4P's of marketing

  • Oversee marketing communications, research development, key performance indicators (KPI), setting & tracking and media planning; uses information to execute on out-of-the-box strategies that allow their Business Partners to win in the market

  • Manage a team of marketing service experts in delivering events across Consumer, Commercial, Public Sector and internal audiences

  • Deliver the right brand awareness and demand generation programs that advance category leadership and deliver superior ROI

  • Attract, grow, motivate and maintain the best talent in the region. Make this team the "place to be"

  • Drive Alliance partners' cooperation on marketing collaboration and continue to increase the amount of Alliances funding overall



  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism/Communications or related field
  • MBA preferred


  • Typically, 15-20+ years of experience in marketing roles, client and or agency marketing

  • Typically, 10+ years of management experience with history of progressive duties

  • Strong knowledge of Consumer and Commercial segment marketing. B2B and B2C

  • Proven experience leading and managing large headcounts, developing and growing the marketing team

  • Experienced in the IT industry, FMCG or fast paced industries, with proven digital experience

  • Regional experience with global mindset and working with HQ to drive strategy

  • Proven track record in strategic marketing planning

  • Fluent in the language of social, digital and e-commerce marketing and can lead seamlessly in this area

  • Experience working building relationships within a highly matrixed organization

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing and Brand, this highly visible and strategic position is responsible, working with GEO and Product Marketing leaders, for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of global marketing activities. Corporate Brand and Marketing is responsible for developing the global marketing and brand narrative as a basis for increasing market share, positioning Varian as the innovative solutions leader and preferred partner for the Oncology Community. We seek an energetic leader who is a creative thinker with a strong track record for generating significant impact through strategic and tactical execution of compelling marketing campaigns. You will partner with GEO teams and direct reports to evolve the brand through design and message development, create compelling content, deliver innovative product launches, build partnership programs, integrate web strategies, and develop and execute digital and print marketing campaigns for B2B and DTC. Essential Responsibilities: Vision, Strategy, and Leadership: * Be accountable for building strategic and collaborative marketing teams, across global functions, to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to unify and promote Varian's brand and broaden Varian's customer base to achieve long-term profitable growth. * Manage Varian's corporate brand, with responsibility for the internal and external brand experience; visual identity; policies, procedures, guidelines and training. Engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure the brand is implemented and adhered to globally. * Provides strategic guidance to the product marketing teams to help ensure successful product launches * Produce innovative new ways to showcase product launches at major tradeshows and events. * Lead the development and implementation of a marketing strategy to build partnership programs for legacy and growth businesses across distinct market segments. * Oversee production of measurably effective digital and print campaigns, working with our advertising agencies (creative, media, and search). * Manage marketing asset creation, publishing and consumption tracking. These assets encompass a broad range of product collateral, white papers, web content, presentations, newsletters, trade show booth assets, and videos, including technical materials for both B2B and D2C. * Track and analyze marketing program results; implement continual improvements based on findings * Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with the leadership team and staff to recognize and take advantage of internal and external marketing opportunities by defining and executing relevant marketing and communication initiatives. * Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning.
