Northrop Grumman Defense Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic- Level 2 to support aircraft modifications on RQ-4 (UAV)aircraft at our Warner Robins, GA site. As a Level 2 Mechanic, you will perform a variety of operations as a structures professional, and become part of a small team of mechanics in order to complete the taskings assigned. Work is done in accordance with established operating procedures.
Interpret complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings and technical instructions to safely perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft.
Perform part-fitting operations such as mounting brackets and stand-offs, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming on the air vehicle.
Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and locations to be attached.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Work as part of a team and be able to coordinate with each other, supervision, program office, engineering, and Quality to ensure compliance with installation drawings for internal sign-offs and quality specifications.

1.High School diploma or equivalent.
2.A minimum of 5 years' structures/sheet metal experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
3.Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and working overhead.
4.Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
5.Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints and drawings.
6.Ability to translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools.
7.Ability to align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
8.Ability to perform part-fitting and installation operations: mounting brackets/stand-offs, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming on an aircraft.
9.Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins, GA site.
1.Air Force aircraft maintenance experience.
2.FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
3.An Active DOD Secret Clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 6 years.
4.Experience with RQ-4 Global Hawk or other UAV aircraft and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps and stabilizers.
