OVERVIEW:

OMD is responsible for delivering media strategy, planning, and buying across the different business units on our high-profile client.

A significant part of OMD's remit is understanding how media activity drives results. To this end, OMD is looking for an exceptional Business Analytics and Insights Director to drive transformation and focus on extracting growth for our clients through the use of data-driven marketing. This position is LA based, reporting into the Executive Director of Integrated Media Planning. You will work closely with the account team, including media planners and strategists, to analyze data and deliver valuable and relevant insights to our clients including:

  • informing audience strategies in support of the planning team,
  • audience research,
  • extracting insights on how to optimize campaigns and apply past learnings to support the audience and investment strategy,
  • measuring business outcomes driven by our marketing efforts,
  • competitive analysis,
  • creative insights,
  • understanding drivers of business growth to support our clients marketing decisions.

You will also work alongside the Global Marketing Science network, including the team in London, India and LA. The successful candidate needs to be technically proficient, highly analytical, possess the ability to creatively translate data findings into actionable insights, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing, developing, and enhancing analytics reports in line with business requirements.

  • Analyzing web, mobile and digital analytics data as well as other on and offline data to evaluate performance.

  • Evaluating and solving business challenges and making sound recommendations.

  • Assisting the team with stakeholder management and communications.

  • Fostering a culture of innovation and operational effectiveness within the team.

  • Training and developing junior team members.

  • Managing the overall reporting process and delivery to agreed weekly/daily cadence.

  • Participating in the measurement plan development and execution.

  • Anticipating client's needs and proactively developing solutions to address them.

  • Ensuring timely follow through on all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables - local and global reporting.

  • Overseeing quality control on campaign set up and taxonomy, checking and trouble-shooting data inputs and outputs.

  • Generating and communicating clear, compelling, and actionable insights; constructing insightful narratives through sophisticated analytic techniques.

  • Audience research analysis to assist strategy teams responses to briefs.

  • Recommending and implementing research that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic process.

  • Providing thought leadership of ad-tech and measurement technologies.

  • Identifying opportunities to continuously improve processes and implement new processes.

  • In conjunction with the business management team, presenting reports, POVs and other materials to clients on a regular basis over the phone and in person.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience within an advertising agency; Analytics, Business Analysis, Data Management, or Digital Investment with knowledge of campaign planning and activation.

  • Thorough understanding of media measurement (e.g., impression, CPM, CTR, VCR, ER), site/app-side measurement (Visits, Bounces, Time on Site, Scroll Depth, Subscriptions, Downloads, Applications, etc.), and acquisition metrics (CPA, Conversion Rate, ROI, etc.)

  • Strong familiarity with statistical/data mining concepts and methods.

  • Experience with deriving actionable insights across multiple media channels such as TV, Streaming, OOH, Radio, Podcasts, Digital Display, Online Video, Search, Social and Programmatic.

  • Experience working with measurement partners for brand lift, sales lift, MMM, competitive research and audience analysis.

  • Strong storytelling ability by way of written and charted analysis, keynote presentations and or via dashboards.

  • Understanding of processes across multiple media channels (digital, search, social, offline, etc.); Experience in handling diverse datasets (paid media, owned, etc.)

  • Stellar communication and presentation skills i.e., articulate, engaging and straightforward - and, above all, can effectively and convincingly translate unstructured information into learnings and actionable next steps.

  • Proven leadership ability and strong, impactful client relationship experience.

  • Solutions oriented: analytic skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to drive issues to resolution.

  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage time effectively and communicate across internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, collaboration skills and multi-tasking capabilities.

  • Advanced excel data manipulation skills required.

SYSTEMS AND TOOLS:

  • Experience with visualization tools PowerBi and Tableau.

  • Experience or familiarity with programming languages like Python, SQL.

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools like HIVE, AirTable, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Experience with advertising media platforms such as Sizmek, Innovid, DCM, DV360, Google Ads, TradeDesk, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Meta, DoubleVerify, and Prisma.

  • Experience with app analytics tools such as Singular, and audio reporting tools.

  • Experience with research tools such as Nielsen, Google Insights, MRI, Pathmatics.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
