Job Description Summary

This role works closely with New Product Introduction Program Management teams represent Integrated Supply Chain operations. Works with all the MRI manufacturing sites (global) to ensure on time, at quality launch of MR products globally. Drive Design for Manufacturing initiatives and help to deliver best total cost of NPIs.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own initial engineering interaction for MR product introduction into global manufacturing sites.

  • Act as the main interface on program core team for DFM/A/T (assembly test), etc., Own the Integrated Supply Chain Milestone and ensure design maturity before handing off.

  • Work closely with ISC strategy leader to determine manufacturing locations for new and affected parts and assemblies ensuring optimal flow of material, inventory locations, assembly and testing. Execute on MR (magnetic resonance) manufacturing footprint strategy to lead to higher supply chain resiliency.

  • Own the plant and expense related to plant equipment required for new product introduction.

  • Contribute to product validation, own process validation allowing for initial production and official handover to plant leader/team, establish and achieve process entitlement.

  • Set yield and factory DPU (defects per unit) targets.

  • Work with sourcing counterpart on Supplier selection, maturity and readiness.

  • Work with the Engineering and Program team on setting Product level Quality goals.

  • Work with the Advance Manufacturing Technology team, Engineering and Program team to set enhanced system test criteria and feedback to Engineering on required actions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project leadership and a total minimal experience of at least 8 years working experience within a manufacturing, development, technical industry or research environment.

  • Demonstrated execution at delivering project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ's (critical to quality).

  • Good understanding of Quality Metrics as well as solid financial knowledge.

  • Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle including supply chain and manufacturing.

  • Exposure to LEAN methodologies and participation in LEAN workouts

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience owning production processes, and growing capability, yield and quality.

  • Strong communication Skills, written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop metrics and consolidate /distill data for both upward and horizontal interpretation. Able to take complex problem and break it into simpler actionable tasks.

  • Good Strategic Thinker; Strong Influencing Skills; Resourceful and Inclusive. Comfortable working thru pushback.

  • 6-sigma DMAIC BB/MBB certified Experiences in HLA and Process Intensive manufacturing Product and Process Development experience

  • Solid working knowledge of QMS (quality management systems) procedures for GMP Experienced owning business initiatives and driving behavior of large teams.
