Crawford Group is in search of an experienced Global Design Communications Manager consultant for our client in Newark, CA. We are looking for an experienced communication professional passionate about Design to join our client's global communications team.
Reporting to the Global Director for Corporate and Employee Communication, this person will work very closely with our client's Chief Design Officer (CDO) and Design Leadership Team on driving external and internal awareness and engagement.

Your main audience will be our client's employees across the globe.
Success on this project is elevating Design across the company in that all employees have a better understanding of the Design organization from priorities to programs and results.
You will be in charge of spreading the Design by sharing great stories about how our client interprets Design, the awards they are winning and the great articles that are being written about them.
You will be involved in helping your colleagues around the world to understand the impact that Design has had on the client's company.
You will look outside the company to position them and their CDO as a key design leader through speaking opportunities, thought leadership, media relations, awards submission and all the other tools available to a creative mind.
5+ years' experience in Communications including Employee Communications, Executive Thought Leadership, Media and Influencers Relations, and a passion for story-telling in all its forms.
A team player at heart, with global experience, who is able to adapt and work in teams across cultures and geographies and on multiple projects at the same time.
Can build a design communications plan that engages our colleagues worldwide on our design strategy, milestones and results. Can put that plan into action as an individual contributor.
A sophisticated storyteller with the ability to identify and build interesting stories that will resonate with employees, design trade media and other audiences.
Affinity to the client's values - we are at our best when we are open and ourselves, humble and hungry, and when we collaborate and challenge, decide and do.
Driven by working with smart colleagues who love to achieve big things and have fun while doing it.
Location: Onsite in Newark.

At Orora leadership is encouraged at every level, within the team What You'll be Responsible For in this Role * "Hands-on" designing of corrugated, folding carton, and fabricated PE designs utilizing Artios CAD or equivalent software. * Ability to disseminate inputs for new customer packaging projects from a wide variety of sources. (Sales reps, direct customer engagement in face to face meetings with the customer and or end users). * Designing custom packaging solutions in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on lean, green, and sustainable solutions. * Hands on testing/validation of proposed solutions (Familiarity with ISTA test procedures a must). * Submitting conceptual renderings of proposed solutions using latest industry 3D modeling software. * Documenting approved designs in customer specified templates as required. What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering and/or min. 5-10yrs experience in related field (or equitable combination of education and experience Additional Required Qualifications: * Familiarity in working with a broad range of packaging substrates, with mastery in corrugated, folding carton, fabricated PE foam materials. * Ability to prioritize and work on many projects at any given time. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Excellent project management skills * Mastery of Artios CAD, including advanced 3D tools. * Solid works and/or other similar 3D modeling software * Microsoft Office * Tops or CAPE palletization software * Hands on experience operating CAM machinery (Kongsberg, Datatech sample cutting equipment). * Hands on experience operating standard packaging test equipment a plus * Monitored Drop Testing * Vibe (Simulated Transport Equipment) * Compression * Working experience with certified packaging test labs such as Lansmont etc. and the ability to disseminate reports for solving technical issues encountered with proposed designs.
