About the Role: We are looking for a Data Steward to join our Gore Medical Business Process and Data (BPD) team working closely with Sales & Marketing teams/systems. Associates in a Data Steward role work closely with Sales, Sales Operations and Marketing stakeholders as well as the Gore Medical BPD team and Domain Data Champions managing Gore Medical or enterprise business processes and the data created or transformed during process development and sustainment. The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring that the business process and data requirements are met through the use of Governance, Modelling and Design, and Performance Monitoring and Improvement efforts. The Data Steward ensures the consistent use of business and data terminology, and that data management practices align with industry best standards and Gore Medical's Data Governance practices. The Data Steward works with Gore Medical stakeholders, IT Business Analysts, and the Transformation team to define the data requirements needed to support the business process, and to ensure the quality and trustworthiness of the data. As part of the business process and data management team, the Data Steward works with IT to define how business processes flow through multiple IT platforms to support the unique data and information needs of Gore Medical globally. The Data Steward is responsible for remediating any data quality issues that are identified and helping to identify solutions to prevent recurrence of the problem.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at one of our facilities in Flagstaff, Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona or Elkton, Maryland, hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Process Analysts and relevant stakeholders to define business process options and data management programs to meet business needs/outcomes within the context of the Sales Technology Stack and Marketing Technology (MarTech) stack (e.g., customer relationship management, event management, digital selling, customer service, content management, web portals, Digital Asset Management, Marketing Automation, Consent, PIM) for Gore Medical

  • Identify and guide the development and sustainment of detailed data process documentation for business execution and alignment to sales & marketing technology business processes

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define data quality requirements/metrics; develop and implement a data control plan then apply data processes to improve data quality, data controls, monitors; conduct business & data metrics analysis and conduct root cause analysis for identified data quality issues; manage corrective actions and preventative actions for data escalations

  • Collaborate with the data governance facilitators to implement and maintain data governance processes, including risk assessment and analysis, escalation processes, and continuous improvement

  • Provide situational leadership and/or mentorship for associates involved in daily data maintenance for business engagement, data processes, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Provide data/application subject matter expertise for system upgrades and new capability pursuits

  • Partner with appropriate Gore Medical Sales & Marketing leadership teams to translate global business/functional strategies into data process requirements aligning with functional vision and strategy; serve as an advocate for business process and data change impacts in sales & marketing

  • Partner with other Data Stewards/Specialists and Business Process Analysts to implement and document a harmonized set of end-to-end business processes with relevant data flows and systems solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Data Science, or Engineering or minimum 5 years experience in sales & marketing system support

  • Recent demonstrated experience integrating with or supporting sales & marketing tools/platforms and technology processes including integration with CRM and ERP (Salesforce and SAP preferred)

  • Prior experience executing governance processes to make decisions, identify risks, and drive issues to resolution, including data governance

  • Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering, mapping data flows within business processes, and aligning to system capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing data to support sales & marketing processes, metrics, and problem solve by performing detail-oriented work

  • Strong understanding of CRM environment, deployment/continuous improvement methodologies (Agile preferred), and release management

  • Demonstrated ability to influence broadly and to work through ambiguity independently

  • Strong understanding of compliance and legal requirements related to managing sensitive data (GDPR, CCPA, data protection acts, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to understand varied audiences, experience working with global teams, and working effectively with diverse groups of associates

  • Ability to travel 15% (working remotely will increase the expectation to travel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with design or implementation of CRM, ERP and other sales & marketing related IT systems as well as integrations between these systems

  • Familiarity with data hubs, data warehouses, and data vendors as well as their integrations with CRM

  • Designing data flows within order-to-cash (OTC) processes (process improvement, mapping, and modelling using Visio or ARIS) with knowledge of business process classification frameworks, theories, principles, and practices

Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
