The Global Customer, Senior Analyst Technical Product Owner will lead IT initiatives to grow business value and outcomes in the areas of customer investment breakdown, products portfolio optimization model, ecommerce, sales, customer enablement, and revenue growth management.

They will connect and influence Business & IT partners, data engineers, Data science and Visualization teams to drive cohesive approach for development & adoption of solutions across all areas of global customer to drive businesses focused insights and analytics. The role would be involved in crafting and providing impactful insights to drive profitable omni category growth.

The individual will lead design and execution of analytical solutions bringing forth powerful reporting capabilities, standards via a balance of technology, people, process, thus driving excellence. The scope includes owning the creation of solutions around the areas of internal customer data (SAP COPA, SAP GL), internal finance data and external customer data sets, POS data, New Product Innovation, master data management (MDM) for customer and product, syndicated data, category management data and ecommerce data syndicators (Profitero, clavis, 1click). The role is a key contributor to the creation of a data-driven environment for the J&J global consumer analytics practice.

You will have a direct impact on value on Customer teams investments globally by enabling the solutions in J&J Consumer Health.


  • Partner with the various product teams including but not limited to customer investment breakdown, products portfolio optimization model, ecommerce, sales, customer enablement, new product innovation (NPI), revenue growth management, different SAP ERP and Financial platforms such as financial data warehouse (FDW) to provide technical guidance on project activities as it relates to data integration, analysis and visualizations and other analytical solutions.

  • Ensure key financial indicators (NTS, COGS, GP) and reconciliation against FDW are implemented accurately with the right processes to safeguard data quality, data security and data governance.

  • Actively uncover business opportunities with analytics using various resources including POS data, retailer loyalty data, syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI), marketplace and HH panel assessments to independently discern trends and provide insights-based recommendations to deliver sales objectives.

  • Develop assortment optimization recommendations and uncover ground-breaking omni category insights and solutions for our customers, products (brands, category), shoppers and consumers that deliver on critical metrics for instore and online.

  • Collaborate with customer teams across multiple channels and markets to develop eCommerce analytics around areas of 6P's, digital shelf, competitive activity, pricing, availability, share of search, shop-ability and online product assortment.

  • Anticipate opportunities and integrate multiple sources of insights to draw practical conclusions and define where to play and how to win

  • Ongoing support and management of data integration for customer sales & RGM capabilities like CIW and POM.

  • Promote a data driven environment within Johnson & Johnson through the utilization of standard methodologies and processes and apply design thinking principles.

  • Partner with Business Stakeholders to identify and prioritize requirements and shape business strategy for customer analytics.

  • Own the product backlog for global customer engagement for IT


  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, science, engineering, or information technology is required

  • A minimum of 3 years prior experience in customer & sales Analytics, category insights/management, shopper marketing/insights, or related field is required.

  • Deep analytical expertise and experience working with customer loyalty and syndicated data systems (i.e., IRI, nielsen, numerator, and 1010), panel data, shopper-card data, and other research is required. (knowledge of 1010 data preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to optimally communicate findings to partners and clearly articulate business value of the analytical solutions is required

  • Attention to detail, pro-active problem-solving, collaboration and organizational skills is required.

  • Ability to assess, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from sales and customer data is required

  • Hands-on with relational databases, query language like SQL is required

  • Excellent hands-on data visualization skills in Tableau are required; Good knowledge of Power BI, Looker and Data Studio is preferred.

  • Using cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google BQ) is required.

  • Knowledge of new research tools (e.g., Python, R) & techniques of gaining consumer insights such as (statistical modeling) will be a plus

  • Experience with large datasets is preferred

  • Experience in CPG industry is preferred

This role will be responsible for coordinating, integrating, and translating consumer, marketplace, competitive and professional insights across the Essential Health portfolio of franchises (Baby Care, Oral Care, Wound Care, and Feminine Care). You will be responsible to drive real-time always-on insights tools using NLP / ML for all of J&J global consumer business. The Senior Director will drive improvement in data-driven consumer-focused boosting effectiveness and efficiency across Precision Media, Website, and eCommerce.
