Position Purpose & Summary

Cargill's customer engagement program provides voice of the customer information to Cargill's businesses world-wide. The common model is adapted to the unique needs of each business, yet standardization enables shared learnings and application. For the last several years, execution has been outsourced. Cargill would now like to build the capability to execute internally, in order to drive efficiency and gain additional control.

The analyst will oversee the project and program reporting, and use his/her thorough expertise to create sound, compelling stories to help the businesses take action on the voice of the customer. Using standard and custom output from dashboarding tools and datatables, he/she will ensure that reports are clear, engaging, and accurately reflect the data. He/she will work with the team to deliver results in a timely and efficient manner. The team will include:

  • The global customer engagement research program manager, who will act as a consultant, advising the businesses on data collection and sampling approaches, questionnaire, and actionability. The program manager is also responsible for the maintaining and improving the VOC model and thought leadership.

  • The project manager will manage the execution of projects from start to finish, program questionnnaires, and manage routine dashboarding and tables.

  • Additional statistical help will be available, as necessary.

Principal Accountabilities
60% Manage custom and ad hoc reporting for individual business projects

  • Using thorough knowledge review questionnaires prepared by the project manager to ensure the data collected will meet the business' informational objectives

  • Develop complex reporting and tab plans, and review with colleagues

  • Develop code frames for opens, and code small volume data sets or work with the project manager to outsource coding of larger sets

  • Conduct statistical analyses

  • Translate data into insights and compeling stories that address key customer issues

  • Successfully manages multiple challenging and complex projects

  • Anticipates and identifies project problems and finds solutions independently or with limited guidance

  • Define and maintain reporting processes

  • Assist the program manager in presenting findings to business leadership and other business stakeholders

  • Assist the program manager in conducting action planning sessions

  • Archive strategic documentation associated with project (analysis, reports, presentations, commercial background)
    20% Manage program reporting

  • Own and maintain the results database and track results across businesses, enterprises and geographies

  • Develop quarterly updates and periodic deep dive reports into a topic of general interest

  • Track and determine trends across individual business participation for executive management
    10% Programming Assistance

  • Provide backup and overflow support to the project manager for programming

  • QA and test questionnaires and other programs

  • Programming online surveys with special attention to logic and aesthetics

  • Clean and structure data sets

  • Develop standard and ad hoc data tables

  • Maintain databases (questionnaire library, sample library)

  • Define new process improvement opportunities

  • Link data to Power BI/Tableau and customize reporting as needed
    10% Other

  • Participate in team and department meetings

  • Continually scan external best practices to bring the latest concepts, methodologies, and programs to Cargill

  • Provide backup to other team members, as necessary

  • The position may be able to be based remotely


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years supplier side report writing experience (market research, CX, or CI)

  • Experience writing and presenting data to diverse stakeholder audiences

  • Comfortable with mixed mode data and small sample sizes

  • Experience with survey programming and data visualization/dashboardin

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5 years working with VOC data

  • Minimum of 10 years of market research or VOC experience on the supplier side

  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making by applying broad knowledge and perspective to make high quality decisions and solve complex issues with limited guidance

  • Well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments

  • Excellent organization and planning skills

  • General knowledge of statistical tools and techniques

  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Demonstrated understanding of B2B and VOC research

  • Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills

  • Insatiable curiosity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, etc.)

  • Qualtricsprogramming certification (Q CX)

  • Experience with SPSS or other advancedstatistical software

  • Advanced expertise with Power BI, Tableau, and


  • Experience working in a decentralized,multi-site, global organization

  • Significant experience with mixed mode andglobal market research or VOC

Has an in depth understanding of the assigned businesses/functions sales, marketing and customer service processes, organizational structure and culture. Principal Accountabilities 25% - Partner with businesses and Program Manager to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness of Customer Sales, Service and Marketing teams to drive adoption and value capture of solutions while participating in projects and steady state activities and working with appropriate 3rd party and internal resources to ensure the projects/program are delivered on time, in budget and in scope. 15% - Document architectural designs and changes within to reflect current personas and processes.
