The Global Creative Director will oversee a geographically diverse team of creatives responsible for an array of business critical, culture-moving work. The role oversees two core teams: the Global Accounts team responsible for partnering with our largest global clients and the Lockdown team, a nimble, collaborative team who is focused on enabling mission-driven creative. For the collective team, we're looking for someone who will lead and inspire creatives to utilize the full potential of the Facebook Family of Apps and Services.

You'll work cross-functionally with leadership across Facebook to craft messaging, align on priorities and push the boundaries of our platform. You'll also be a key external ambassador to Facebook, evangelizing our approach, work and the power of our platform at key industry events, client meetings etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a geographically dispersed team of creatives, inspiring exceptional work, deep client focus and establishing the operational rhythm of a high performing team

Collaborate internally with cross-functional stakeholders including sales, product marketing, marketing science etc. to develop global messaging go-to-market strategies

Inspire and influence executives at key clients and agencies to employ best practices and maximize their use of the Facebook family of apps and services to grow their business

Partner with the Creative Shop leadership team to drive team direction and consistently improve creative contributions to our clients and the industry

Be an externally facing advocate of the Facebook family of apps and services, representing Facebook on stages, industry events, client engagements, award shows etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of similar experience
    5+ years digital advertising experience

Portfolio of creative campaigns and work

Experience working with global clients interfacing with c-level executives across multiple verticals

Advertising agency experience with experience in online advertising ecosystem

Experience managing managers

Experience operating in cross-functional organizations

Storyteller with experience communicating the benefits of marketing strategies to brands

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment

Ability to build credibility and trust quickly internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization

RESPONSIBILITIES * Bring your passion for high quality craft combined with your resourcefulness to explore and build new ways for small businesses to build better creative that drives their business outcomes through concepts, tools, partnerships with the product team. Travel to small business locations for collaborative work sessions and to headquarters to spend time alongside your business partners (approximately 20% travel time). Always looking ahead to what's next and connecting business challenges with creative hypothesis, building work with clients to test those hypothesis to learn what drives business outcomes for clients and then package those learnings to reach many small businesses globally. Continually inspire small businesses on Facebook and Instagram, and develop strategies and creative ideas that transform our clients' business and push the boundaries of our platforms, while building solutions that are not only accessible to them, but other businesses like them. Roll up sleeves in a flat creative organization to lead projects end-to-end — insights, hypothesis, pilot through production. Partner with others on the team to make your and their ideas shine through project-based partnerships and weekly peer-based creative review. Be a thought leader on how social technology is fundamentally changing marketing and the opportunities for small businesses to grow. Help a small, highly capable team of exceptional creative and strategic thinkers grow their skills and experiences by partnering with them and mentoring them in their work. Portfolio link or examples of campaign work. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 8+ years of experience in advertising or in-house agency environment in art direction or design. Experience working with Facebook and Instagram, from ad products to mobile and video best practices. Experience mentoring others. Experience defining and leading strategy, setting direction and executing priorities. Generalist Creative experience: experience in art direction and making ads/content but also experience identifying insights and turning them into ideas, messaging strategy, writing copy, mocking up ideas, through final executions. Track record of influencing behavior at variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders. Problem solving and analytical experience with knowledge in understanding data and identifying insights that inform ideas. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working with product teams including product managers, engineers and product designers. Empathy and enthusiasm for businesses big and small.
