Our Trade Compliance team maintains compliance with global customs laws and regulations while driving customer satisfaction and profitability. We insure compliance with all aspects of customs and trade requirements. Our team also partners closely with cross-functional teams in strategic planning and implementation of all customs and trade initiatives globally.
The Global Country of Origin Manager will be responsible for supporting compliance in four core customs areas: preferential trade and special sales programs, country of origin/marking, and classification. The Manager will develop and maintain a single source of truth for country of origin determination and associated programs across all OpCo's within the Diagnostic's Platform globally.
As a key point person for the Diagnostic's Platform engaging with Supply-Chain and Manufacturing Organizations, the ideal candidate will be familiar with or capable of understanding manufacturing tools and processes. This individual will leverage this information to support qualification of products for preferential and non-preferential country origin determination under special sales, trade program requirements, sourcing strategies, and country of origin/marking compliance globally. The Manager will review processes and transactions, implement process improvements and conduct research and analysis to support global country of origin compliance.

Partnering with Supply-Chain and Manufacturing team members to evaluate products and manufacturing processes to determine preferential and non-preferential origin worldwide;
Conducting and documenting manufacturing fact pattern review and country of origin determination analysis with Supply-Chain and Manufacturing;
Reviewing, analyzing, documenting and maintaining rulings, formal decisions and other documents supporting country of origin determinations;
Developing effective country of origin decisions, methodologies, and defense arguments globally;
Conducting process and compliance reviews to maintain and improve accurate use of country of origin ERP tools;
Conducting country of origin audits, testing, and developing countermeasures globally;
Proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, minimizing compliance risks and reducing costs;
Developing, implementing and monitoring internal policies and procedures to support country of origin and marking compliance;
Developing and conducting training to support internal education on core customs compliance matters.
BA or BS in international business or related area required with 9+ years of relevant experience
6+ years of relevant international trade and customs experience
3+ years of experience with Supply-Chain and Manufacturing tools and processes or relevant Oracle/SAP or another ERP experience
Fluency with WTO, U.S. and non-U.S. Customs country of origin rules and regulations, the regulations of other US and non-U.S. government agencies that impact non-preferential and preferential country of origin compliance and marking
Understanding of international agreements governing customs and trade compliance worldwide
Able to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Strong research, writing, analytical and communication skills
Detail oriented and responsive
